Profile Summary
I did PhD in 2009 in Precision Engineering and Robotics from the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering, University of Manchester, UK. I did MPhil in 2005 in Precision Engineering from the same school and B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering in 2000 from GIK Institute, Pakistan. In PhD, the research is conducted on the novel design of micro parallel manipulator using innovative spherical joints for precision engineering application. After PhD, I gained considerable teaching and research experience in mechanics and machine design while working in different academic and research roles in Islamabad. I also worked as a Research Associate in Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics in Bremen, Germany. In Bremen, I was system engineer in the development team of a Cyber Physical System for human robot collaboration in the domain of industrial heavy payload service robotics. Presently at CUST, I am establishing a research group on precision mechanics and design.
