Seminar by Prof Dr Norman Reid on “Thinking Skills for effective Communication” at CUST

Prof Dr. Norman Reid, Emeritus Professor from University of Glassgow, Scotland visited Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan on Friday, 06 October 2017. He also delivered a seminar on “Thinking Skills for Effective Communication”. The faculty and staff of the university attended the seminar. Dr. Reid focused on the effectiveness of thinking in the communication skills. During the lecture, he engaged the faculty in discussion on four types of thinking; creative thinking, critical thinking, systems thinking, scientific thinking. He emphasized that the students should be encouraged to ask questions. Dr. Amir Qayyum, Dean QEC thanked the guest speaker on behalf of the university for visiting CUST and sharing his experience. Then he, along with Dean ORIC, presented a souvenir of CUST to Dr. Norman Reid.
