CoE-CPEC Policy Research Grant Awarded to CUST

The ‘Job Growth and Human Resource Development Division’ at the Centre of Excellence-China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CoE-CPEC) is pleased to inform that the research proposal submitted by CUST has been accepted. This has been achieved under the Competitive Policy Research Grant Scheme - 2017/2018. The Centre of Excellence works under the supervision of the Pakistan Institute for Development Economics and the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform of the Government of Pakistan. CoE-CPEC received a large number of research grant applications that were thoroughly evaluated by a team of experts. Key proposals with high academic quality, policy relevance, and in alignment with key research areas of the CoE-CPEC have been accepted. Our team of researchers will be specifically addressing on how to make CPEC inclusive for unskilled labour in Pakistan. The team leader is Dr. Saira Ahmed along with Mr. Ahsan Mahmood (Faculty of Management & Social Sciences) and Mr. Asif Javed, for survey and data coordination.
