More than 100 volunteers of CUST participated in flood relief activities organized by National and International humanitarian organizations in twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The Volunteers In Service (VIS) Directorate of Capital University of Science and Technology provided guidance to faculty and staff members for disbursement of their donations and dozens of faculty and staff members contacted VIS Directorate to help their brothers and sisters affected by flood 2022.
Earlier Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad. Mansoor Ahmed held a meeting with VIS Directorate to streamline relief and rehabilitation activities for flood victims. He emphasized to continue these activities for flood victims till their complete restoration and instructed Volunteers In Service (VIS) Directorate to plan relief and rehabilitation activities in different phases in collaboration with departments and Student Affairs office. He also directed head of departments and Student Affairs office to mobilize and motivate faculty, staff and students to do what they can do for flood victims. The higher management, faculty and staff take keen interest to contribute their role in relief activities for flood victims practically in shape of cash and kinds.
Volunteers In Service (VIS) Directorate of Capital University of Science and Technology Islamabad join hands with Al Khidmat, Akhuwat, Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) and Islamabad Boy Scouts Association (IBSA) in flood relief activities in twin cities. The Directorate organize “CUST Flood Relief Task Force” and placed around 100 volunteers with Al Khidmat, Akhuwat, PRCS, HHRD and IBSA in phase one, in phase two VIS Directorate will organize donations camp in the campus to collect donation from faculty, staff, students, friends and families, whereas in phase three CUST plan to design rehabilitation move in collaboration with Akhuwat, Al Khidmat, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) and Pakistan Red Crescent Society.
