Dr Irfan Anjum Manarvi (PhD UoS, UK)

PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Manarvi graduated from Pakistan Airforce Academy Risalpur College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE) as an Aerospace Engineer in 1986. He worked in Pakistan Airforce in various Bases as an Engineering Officer until 1990. He then served in Aircraft Manufacturing Factory PAC Kamra and worked on various projects and advanced manufacturing technologies. He then went for MPhil (in Manufacturing Processes research area) and Ph.D. (in Design research area using FEM for Dimensional Tolerance allocation) at the Department of Design Manufacture and Engineering Management, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K. He came back to PAF in 2004 and again worked at various Engineering management positions. He retired from PAF and joined academia and taught in various local and international Universities. Dr. Manarvi’s research interests are in Product design, FEM, CAD/CAM, Biomechanics and Manufacturing processes He has supervised many MBA, MS, PhD and funded research projects. He has authored 90+ research papers and his ISI journals and international conferences research with a citation index over 300. He is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) UK and Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the UK Engineering Council. He is a life member of PEC (Pak) and member of IEEE, PMI, ASME.
