Department of Mathematics

Dr. Muhammad Sagheer

PROFESSOR / HOD MATHEMATICS

In his professional career, he envisions himself undertaking three major roles: a teacher, a researcher, and a coordinator. He recognizes the crucial significance of these responsibilities for the uplift of any academic institution. When asked to prioritize, teaching emerges as his first choice, considering it a natural strength ingrained within him. His journey in sharing knowledge began during his studentship, and the appreciation from others motivated him to excel in this noble profession. With a focus on Mathematics, he has taught various levels, ranging from class six to PhD. A university professor is incomplete without active involvement in research and related activities. Under his supervision, nine PhD scholars and fifty-seven MPhil students have successfully completed their degrees. His PhD project involved the mathematical and numerical analysis of an integral equation addressing a population dynamics problem within the broader area of genetics theory. Currently, he is engaged in the numerical solution of boundary value problems arising in fluid dynamics. In 2012, he assumed the role of the Head of the Mathematics Department, contributing to its establishment and growth.
