TERMS OF REFERENCE (ToRs)
  1. The Committee will ensure that VLE is functioning by meeting the minimum criteria set forth by the University and HEC.
  2. The Committee will evaluate each course and labs being offered in the VLE for quality assurance.
  3. The Committee will audit University Learning Management System (LMS) for each course and lab. The Committee will ensure that the course/lab related material and assessment details have been provided through University LMS.
  4. The Committee will also monitor infrastructure support required for the execution of VLE. The Committee will suggest remedial measures to address the complaints both from the students as well as from the instructors.
  5. The Committee will ensure that a suitable and credible mechanism has been adopted for course and lab assessments.
  6. The Committee will formulate a proposal to enhance the capacity of instructors for VLE system.
  7. The Committee shall receive suggestions and feedback through its official email:- vle@10.12.4.216
  8. The Committee will meet online on weekly basis as per the date and time given by the Convener of the Committee and shall submit its findings to Vice Chancellor Secretariat on regular basis for appropriate action.

    2. Inspection of status of CUST Portal. All members were asked to make the availability of information of all courses uploaded on CUST Portal before next week.

  6. 1st Capacity Building Session for Faculty Members – May 4, 2020

    An online training seminar on Microsoft Teams was organized. Mr. Salman Ahmed, Lecturer Computer Science Department was the Resource Person. Around 90 faculty members from all the departments of university attended the online training seminar.

  7. 2nd Capacity Building Session for Faculty Members – May 13, 2020

    An online training session titled “Online Assessment of Cognitive Nature Activities from Question Design to Marking” was organized. Dr. Majid Ali, Professor Civil Engineering Department was the Resource Person.

  8. HEC Online Survey for Connectivity – May 15, 2020

    An online survey was conducted on the directions of Higher Education (HEC) to assess the internet connectivity of students. The survey was conducted from the students of all departments of university. More than three thousand six hundred students responded to the survey. The results of the survey were submitted to HEC on May 15, 2020.

  9. VLE Emails

    VLE Monitoring Committee receives students’ complaints through its official email address, which is vle@10.12.4.216. This email address was communicated to all the students of university by sharing it on the university website, social media networks, student app, and was also verbally communicated by the faculty members in various classes. Various complaints including connectivity issues, assignment/ quiz submission problems etc. are received from students. Student is acknowledged when the email is received. Head of Department of the concerned department is taken in loop, where required and all such complaints are resolved on priority basis. Data of all these emails is maintained for review.

  10. Class Held Reports

    VLE Monitoring Committee maintains a Class Held Report. This report gives the numbers of held classes on daily basis. The classes that couldn’t be conducted for some reason are also reported for record.
