Dr. Ishtiaq Hassan

Management experience includes successful running of an independent section in NESPAK Islamabad office and looking after number of projects as Project Manager dealing with various Clients. Outstanding professional educational career and remained position holder in B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees earned from UET Taxila. Have good presentation skills and command on English language. Dr. Majid Ali

Past: Structural Design Engineer having ten years of association with NESPAK, one of leading consultants of Pakistan.
Dr. Muhammad Usman Farooqi
Dr. Muhammad Usman Farooqi is a part of a dynamic and progressive organization, which offers challenging working environment where one can utilize energies and competences in a positive direction and contribute towards overall objectives of organization. He is enthusiastically an active member of CE departmental team and main contributor towards development of a department from scrap, by fulfilling all Outcome Based Education (OBE) based pre-requisites defined by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC). Dr. Farooqi has almost 10 years of overall experience including rich teaching, research and industry. He has also been recognized as HEC Approved Supervisor. Furthermore, in past, he has been served as Deputy Project Manager having two years of association with Frontier Works Organization (FWO), one of leading contractors in Pakistan.
Mr. Sohail Afzal
More than three years of successful experience in academia, working in Civil Engineering Department at university level under outcome-based education (OBE) system. Excellent reputation for resolving problems, capable to work in a team and get along well with faculty, staff, and students. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering. Co-coordinator of Health and Safety team and Graduate Program at departmental level.
Mr. Iqbal Ahmad
I have more than 6+ years rich experience including teaching under outcome-based education system and field experience (structural analysis, design and evaluation). Currently working as a Lecturer in Department of Civil Engineering, Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. The main area of teaching at undergraduate level includes Engineering Mechanics, Structural Analysis-I&II, Plain and Reinforced Concrete-I&II and Architecture & Town Planning. In addition to teaching, I also look after various administrative tasks of the department.
Ms. Faiza Khalid
Engr. Faiza Khalid received her BS in Civil Engineering from UET Taxila and her Masters with specialization in Structural Engineering from the same institution. Her areas of interest include Civil Engineering Materials. Composite concrete, Structural Design and Bridge Engineering.
Mr. Talha Ahmed
At the helm of Capital University, currently serving as Associate Lecturer in The Department of Civil Engineering and Co-Patron, Technical/Creative Head in Capital Media Group at Capital University. The research interests are in Water Resources and Material Engineering with multiple publications. Engr. Talha Ahmed graduated from Capital University of Science and Technology in 2019; served as internee engineer in Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and Highway Design Engineer in Zeeruk International Pvt. Ltd. However, Engr. Talha Ahmed sits with a unique blend of creative vision. Challenged to both, inspire and brainstorm fresh ideas, manage deliverables, and captivate the target and the one to shape the visual aspects with promotional efforts that helps Capital University rise through the ranks.
Mr. Umair Ahmed
Engr. Umair Ahmed graduated from Capital University of Science and Technology in 2019; served as assistant structural engineer at Engineering Design and Consultants and is now serving as Lab. Engineer in Capital University of Science and Technology since 2019. Previous research dedicated to the economic and functional feasibility of steel based composite column structures and has theoretical and analytical knowledge about structural design and analysis. Now the research areas under focus are sustainable development, green building analysis and contract management.
Mr. Talha Bin Tahir
With more than eight (08) years of experience, Talha Bin Tahir is currently working as “Lecturer” in Department of Civil Engineering, Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad Pakistan since December 2019. The main area of teaching, at undergraduate level, include structural analysis, reinforced concrete design, steel structures design, Earthquake resistant design of structures etc. He is involved in different administrative roles at departmental level. Besides teaching and administration roles, he is also involved in research activities and supervised many undergraduate final year projects. Before joining academia in 2016, he has worked in various design and consulting firms at the position of “Structural Design Engineer”. Key responsibilities included lead engineer on design projects, monitoring resources and maintaining progress of the projects, analysis and design of structural members, preparation of design reports, monitoring and checking drawings, monitoring and checking of Engineer’s cost estimates, negotiating modifications with architects and consulting engineers, advising and liaising with project stakeholders and consultants.
Mr. Shaheed Ullah
Registered civil engineer with PEC. Done BSc civil from UET Peshawar and MSc in structural engineering from MCE, NUST. Total Teaching experience of three years. Done BSc research in analysis area via SAP and MSc research in materials. One publication in non-impact factor journal.

I was founding member / current Director for BIM Centre of Excellence at CUST and certified Building Information Modeling (BIM) professional. During PhD, I was part of research program sponsored by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia to develop a “SMART INTEGRATED LOW CARBON INFRASTRUCTURE MODEL” for sustainable development using BIM under “Sustainable Resources Mission Oriented Research (SUREMOR)”. Before joining UTP in Feb. 2013, I worked in National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NESPAK) at the position of “Resident / Senior Engineer”. Key responsibilities included Contract Operation/Management (FIDIC), Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management , Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Control, Contractual coordination, Claim Management, Dispute Resolution, Evaluation of Notices regarding Termination and Suspension of works, , Developing and Auditing Quality Control Plans, Chair Progress Review Meetings, Approval of IPCs, Verification and recommendation of Deviated Items, Variation orders, IPCs, Escalation claims etc.
