PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Majid Ali has an overall 20 years of rich teaching, research and professional industry experience with a total of around 214 publications including 38 Impact Factor journal papers having cumulative ISI impact factor of 229. He is basically a civil engineer (Professional Engineer, Pakistan Engineering Council, PEC) having qualifications of bachelors with gold medal, masters with highest position and doctor of philosophy with five impact factor journal publications. He is an HEC (Higher Education Commission Pakistan) Approved PhD Supervisor. He is an active reviewer for many RD funding proposals etc for National Science Centre Poland, Elsevier (one of world’s largest publisher), KU Leuven (Belgium), HEC and Pakistan Science Foundation. He was included in list of Young Productive Scientists of Pakistan. He acted as program evaluator from PEC for the accreditation of bachelors of civil engineering and allied disciplines at various institutes across country. He has been a member of engineering curriculum review and development committee for updating civil engineering national curriculum on outcome-based education. He is also convener of University Health, Safety and Security Committee at CUST. Before joining academia, he worked as structural design engineer having ten years of association with NESPAK, one of leading consultants of Pakistan.
