Dr. M Abdul Qadir
Dr. Qadir’s professional journey spanned over a quarter-century in two overlapping domains of academia and industry. Serving as a Computer Science Professor and Dean Faculty of Computing since 2005, he has excelled as an educator, moulding future AI and algorithm experts through a unique blend of academic rigor and practical training. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Qadir is a dedicated mentor, actively supporting students in their academic and professional journeys, fostering collaboration and empowerment. As a founding Dean at MAJU and CUST, Dr. Qadir’s strategic leadership has birthed successful programs and faculties, including Engineering, Health & Life Sciences, and Pharmacy. Under his guidance, over 8000 graduates have been produced and are contributing significantly to society. Dr. Qadir’s influence extends to research, supervising over 10 scholars in completing PhD degrees and numerous MS theses in the field of intelligent computing systems. With a prolific output of 150+ research papers, he has also led successful industrial projects, securing substantial funding. Dr. Qadir’s impact spans across education, research, and industry, making him a transformative force in the convergence of academia and industry.
Dr. M. Masroor Ahmed
Dr. M. Masroor Ahmed received his doctorate in computer science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2009 and joined academia as a faculty member. He is currently serving as Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Science, and Director IT at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. Over the years, he has made substantial contributions to research and academic development across institutions in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. His research focuses on medical image processing, biometric systems, pattern recognition, and computational optimization. He has authored more than 25 research papers published in reputable international journals and conferences. Dr. Ahmed has also played a pivotal role in guiding research at the postgraduate level, co-supervising PhD and MS students in areas such as digital image watermarking, 3D modeling, and quantum cryptography. He has actively contributed to several industrial and academic research projects and continues to serve as a reviewer for leading scientific journals. He is a member of professional bodies including the International Association of Engineers (IAEng) and the Swedish Artificial Intelligence Society (SAIS). Through his academic leadership, research expertise, and administrative roles, Dr. Ahmed continues to play a vital role in advancing the university’s mission in academic excellence and technological innovation.
Dr. Nayyer Masood
Dr. Nayyer Masood completed his PhD degree in Multidatabases from the University of Bradford, U.K., in 1999. Prior to that he did his MSc Computer Science from Qauid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 1988 and joined BZU Multan as lecturer. Since then, he has been serving in different universities and for last 17 years he has been serving at CUST; for most part of this tenure, he has been working as head of CS department. Dr. Nayyer Masood research interests are in Databases and Data Science. He has supervised numerous MS and PhD research projects. He authored 30+ research papers and his ISI research impact factor is 30+. He is a professional member of ACM, moreover, he is also member of core committee of computing council of HEC. He is currently coordinating his second EU-funded project titled SAFE-RH (www.safe-rh.eu) that targets to provide remote health services to the rural areas of Pakistan. Dr. Nayyer Masood has also recorded 3 courses with Virtual University of Pakistan.
Dr. Amir Qayyum
PhD from University of Paris-Sud, France in 2000; numerous publications and co-author of an RFC in IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) about mobile ad hoc networks; 25 years of teaching experience at Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. level and also supervised many MS and Ph.D students in their research in network routing protocols, wireless / mobile networking, IoT and network security; 20 years of management experience as Dean ELIC, Dean QEC, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Head / Chairman of department, etc.; 18 years of experience as Project Director of many national and international funded projects; Founding President and CEO of CoreNet Systems Ltd, working in the domain of emerging network technologies; Actively involved with Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), also served as the NomCom Co-chair; Actively involved with IEEE Islamabad Section since 2005 and served as Chair IEEE Computer Society Islamabad Chapter, Chair IEEE Islamabad Section; Chair Board of Directors of Internet Society (ISOC) Islamabad Chapter; Awarded the medal of “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques” by the Government of France for his academic and collaboration activities.
Dr. M. Siraj Rathore
Dr. Siraj has blend of experience both from academia and IT industry. He completed his Master of Computer Science in 2001 from University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi. Then he started his professional career and served as a software engineer at Pakistan International Computer Limited (PICL). He contributed in various software development projects at PICL. Meanwhile he also enrolled in MS Computer Engineering program at Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE, UET Taxila) and completed degree in 2005. After that, Dr. Rathore started his academic career as a faculty member at UET Taxila. Later he joined KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden as a PhD student. At KTH, he worked at networked systems laboratory and actively participated in international ICT research projects. He also served as a consultant at Ericsson Stockholm. He came back to Pakistan in 2019 and joined Barani Institute of Information Technology Rawalpindi as an Assistant Professor. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at Capital University of Science and Technology. He is the member of Advanced Network and Security research group and published several research articles in the prestigious international journals and conferences.
Dr. S. Saqib Raza Rizvi
Dr. Syed Saqib Raza Rizvi completed his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the National College of Business Administration Economics, Lahore Pakistan, in 2020 in the field of Machine Learning. He joined academia in 2012 where he worked in different positions including Lecturer and Assistant Professor and Head of Department in well-reputed institutes of the country. He also provides consultancy to different institutes and research students locally and abroad. He has more than 12 years of experience in the field of higher education and the IT industry. Dr. Syed Saqib Raza’s research interests are in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision etc. He has supervised numerous MS and currently co supervising one Ph.D. research thesis. He authored eight ISI-indexed and impact factor research papers and four conference publication.
Mr. Fahim Shahzad
Mr. Fahim Shahzad completed the MS degree in Personal, Mobile Satellite Communications from the University of Bradford, U.K., and joined academia. His research interests are in Computer Networks and the Internet of Things.
Mr. Salman Ahmed
Mr. Salman Ahmed is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science Department of Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, where he is also coordinating the department labs. He did his MS(CS) degree in Software Engineering from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad. During his MS(CS) degree he was appointed as a Junior Lecturer in 2011. He has been allied with academia from the last 4 years. His research area is Mobile agents Communication and RDF Graphs. He was also associated with Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority (PEMRA) as a web developer in 2010.
Ms. Rifhat Hashim
Rifhat has extensive experience of Six years as Lecturer of Computer Science and skilled developer of Web Application. In addition, She exhibits expertise in Mobile Application Development using React Native, Web Application Development using React js, Node js , Mongo Db ,many other languages like flutter,C#,asp.net mvc , java and documented history of successful teaching.
Ms. Rabea Saleem
Ms. Rabea Saleem currently serves as an Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science department at CUST. She completed her master’s degree in computer science from Air University,Multan Campus in 2018. With almost 9 years of extensive experience in both college and university. Her research areas include NLP, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Mr. M. Zeeshan Sabir
Mr. Zeeshan Sabir completed the Master degree in Information Security from the Riphah institute of System Engineering (RISE), Islamabad and have done Software Engineering from UET.He worked at various positions including software engineer in Pakistan Telecommunication Cooperation Ltd Islamabad, Web developer in Dewintec, Network administrator in Asian Building System (ABS) making him a perfect fit to join academia. He worked as lecturer in Riphah International University and now working in Capital university of Science and Technology Islamabad to make quality factor sustainable in its educational services. During his career he has completed several exciting projects in information systems.
Ms. Fizza Asif
Ms. Fizza Asif earned her MPhil in Computer Science from Quaid-i-Azam University. She has worked as a Lecturer at Federal University and served as a Visiting Lecturer at Quaid-i-Azam University, Federal University, and Siblee College Faisalabad. Currently, she is a Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. Her research interests lie in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a focus on exploring applications in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. She is actively enhancing her expertise in advanced data engineering and Teradata, specializing in large-scale data management.
Ms. Hina Shoaib
Ms. Hina Shoaib completed her M.Sc. in Software Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences ,earning a silver medal. Her research thesis, sponsored by QUEST Lab, focused on "An Automated Approach for Detection and Refactoring of Android Application Performance-Based Code Smells."She is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at CUST. Alongside teaching, she has been actively involved in research, with a keen interest in Software engineering Architecture and development , Software Testing. she has been actively involved in research, particularly in artificial intelligence, machine learning. She has worked on "A Prediction Approach for Home Appliance Energy Consumption," as well as “Deep learning applications such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for malaria detection from microscopic images, optimizing supply chain resilience”.
Ms. Rida Haya
Rida Haya completed the MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Haripur, Pakistan, in 2021, and joined academia where she worked as Lecturer and Associate Lecturer. Rida Haya's research interests are in Information-Centric Networking and IoT.
Ms. Fouzia Qureshi
Mis. Fouzia Qureshi holds an M.Phil-CS degree from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. She is currently serving as an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the Capital University of Science and Technology (C.U.S.T.). In addition to her teaching role, she is actively engaged in research at the Computer Science Lab, Department of Computer Science, Quaid-i-Azam University. Her research primarily focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a particular emphasis on Word Sense Disambiguation in the Urdu language.

Ms. Mamoona Bilal
Ms. Mamoona Bilal is currently working as an Associate Lecturer in Computer Science Department of Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. After the completion of bachelor’s degree from FJWU, Rawalpindi, she worked for a year in International Islamic University, Islamabad as an Administraror. She completed the MS degree in computer science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST), Islamabad in 2020.She also worked as a lecturer at Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology for two years and joined Capital University of Science and Technology as an Associate Lecturer. Her research areas are Machine Learning, Energy Optimization, Green Computing.
Mr. Abdul Haseeb
Abdul Haseeb completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from COMSATS university Islamabad. He has completed Master of Science in Computer Science from COMSATS university Islamabad. He also worked as research assistant at HITEC university Taxila Cantt. Currently he is working as associate lecturer in computer science at Capital University of Science and Technology Islamabad.
Ms. Iqra Javed
Miss Iqra Javed completed the MS degree in Information Security from Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Technology Rahim Yar khan and joined academia where she started working at the position of Associate Lecturer. Her research work is in the Domain of Machine Learning . She has Highest CGPA from her whole Batch . She has interests in Information Security, Machine Learning, Networking Technologies, Security Technologies.
Mr. Islam Ud Din
Mr. Islam Ud Din completed his M. Phil from Quaid-i-Azam University, under the HEC Merit Based Scholarship. Presently working as an Associate Lecturer at CS Department, Capital University of Science and Technology, C.U.S.T. He has also been working as a researcher at CS Lab, department of computer science QAU. His research area focuses on Facial Expression Recognition and classification. He has worked on Autism detection as well. His research work is to apply FER in diverse application areas especially in medical sciences.
Ms. Mahin Malik
Ms. Mahin Malik completed the MS degree in Computer Science (By Research) in 2021 and joined academia in 2019. She worked as a visiting lecturer from 2019 to 2020 at University of Sargodha, and worked as a Permanent lecturer in University of Lahore. Now she is working in CUST as a permanent lecturer. Her research interests include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Compiler Construction, Human Computer Interaction. She also has journal publication.
Ms. Samra Naseer
Ms. Samra Naseer obtained her MPhil in Computer Science from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in 2022. Throughout her studies, she actively engaged in freelance projects, enhancing her practical skills in the field. She is currently an associate lecturer at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). Ms. Samra Naseer has successfully published a research paper in a prestigious international journal, with several more in progress. Her primary research interests encompass Multimedia Information Retrieval, computer vision, and Artificial Intelligence, highlighting her commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in these areas

Ms. Fatima Khurshid has completed Bachelors of Science in Computer Science form CUST Islamabad. She is enthusiastic about sharing her expertise with students and bring industry knowledge to classroom. She is passionate about guiding and inspiring students in the classroom and outside classroom.
Mr. Rafah Ahmed
Mr. Rafah Ahmed completed the BS degree in Computer Science from KICSIT affiliated with UET in 2023. He joined Capital University of Science and Technology as Lab Instructor in 2024.
Mr. Ibtisam Zia
Mr. Ibtisam Zia completed the BS degree in Computer Science from CUST in 2024 and recently started his MS degree in Artificial Intelligence from CUST. He joined Capital University of Science and Technology as a Lab Instructor.
Mr. Muhammad Daniyal
