QUALITY PROMOTION

The Quality Assurance Department at CUST aims to foster a strong culture of quality across the University by embedding continuous improvement in all academic and administrative functions. It seeks to ensure that quality remains a shared responsibility and a central concern for all stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and management. Through the development and implementation of transparent, systematic, and effective processes, the Department works to enhance academic standards, administrative efficiency, and institutional accountability, thereby promoting excellence in teaching, learning, and governance.

CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

The development, institutionalization, and continuous refinement of comprehensive quality enhancement initiatives aimed at strengthening capacity for high-quality academic and administrative provision across institutional, programmatic, and individual levels, through systematic planning, performance evaluation, professional development, and evidence-based improvement mechanisms.

FACULTY ASSESSMENT

The systematic assessment and monitoring of expected outcomes and performance of individual faculty members through internationally recognized, validated, and benchmarked evaluation frameworks, following the provision of adequate teaching, research, and institutional support infrastructure, in order to ensure accountability, continuous professional development, and sustained enhancement of academic quality.

DEPARTMENTAL REVIEWS

The systematic evaluation of the performance and effectiveness of each Academic Department through the conduct of comprehensive annual reviews, utilizing standardized performance indicators and benchmarked parameters covering academic delivery, research output, student outcomes, governance practices, and resource utilization, with the objective of ensuring accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with institutional quality standards.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of CUST ensures continuous institutional compliance with the standards, policies, and accreditation requirements prescribed by national regulatory and professional bodies, including HEC, PEC, PCP, NCEAC, NBEAC, and other relevant authorities.
