Dr. M. Mansoor Ahmed

PROFESSOR / VICE CHANCELLOR

Dr. Ahmed completed the PhD degree in Microelectronics from the University of Cambridge, U.K., in 1995, and joined academia where he worked at different positions including Professor; Chairman; Dean; Executive Vice President and Vice Chancellor. Dr. Ahmed research interests are in Microelectronics and RF Engineering. He has supervised numerous MS and PhD research projects. He authored 160+ research papers and his ISI research impact factor is 150+ with citation index over 1480+. Dr. Ahmed is a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK.; a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the UK Engineering Council and holds the title of European Engineer (Eur Ing) from the European Federation of National Engineering Association (FEANI), Brussels. He is a life member of PEC (Pak); IEEE EDS and IEEE MTTS (USA).

Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad Taj

PROFESSOR / DEAN FACULTY OF ENGINEERING

Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad Taj received Ph.D. degree from Hokkaido University, Japan, in 2001. He is presently serving as Professor and Dean FoE at Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad and supervising research group of Vision and Pattern Recognition Systems. He has authored and co-authored 50+ research publications of international repute. He has supervised six Ph.D. dissertations in the fields of computer vision, pattern recognition and biometrics.

Dr. Noor M. Khan

PROFESSOR / HOD ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING

Dr. Noor M. Khan received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from UET, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1998. He held several positions in WorldCall Communications and PTCL from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, he joined the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, where he completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2006. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as casual academic with UNSW, Australia. After returning to Pakistan in 2006, he worked with GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences Technology and Mohammad Ali Jinnah University. Currently, he is working as Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical Computer Engineering with Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. He has authored more than hundred research publications in reputed international journals and refereed conferences. Recently, he has served as the General Chair of the 16th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies in December 2021. He has supervised twelve Ph.D. and more than forty MS students. He has been awarded Research Productivity Awards by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) for the years 2011 and 2012 and CUST Research Excellence Award for the year 2021, respectively. His research interests include wireless networks and mobile communications.

• Muhammad Ashraf received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1988, the M.S. degree in systems engineering from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in systems engineering from the University of Liverpool, Liver pool, U.K., in 1995. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. Dr. Waseem Abbass

Waseem Abbass did his BS in Computer Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad with honors and graduated from University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila with majors in networks. His area of research is the modelling, optimization, and applications of machine Learning in 5G cellular communication. He did his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2023 from COMSATS University Islamabad and the dissertation title was: "Analysis and optimization of shared spectrum access in 5G". Currently, he is associated with Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, serving as assistant professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering. His current research interests include machine learning, cognitive radio networks, device to device communication, and the Internet of Things. He has more than 8 publications in high impact factor journals and 2 conference paper publications.

Dr. Rehan Asad is a dedicated academic with a strong background in engineering management and electrical engineering. He completed his PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, in 2024. Prior to this, he earned an MS in Engineering Management from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, in 2013, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore, in 2010. Dr. Asad specializes in courses such as Project Management, Disaster Management, Production & Operations Management, and Risk Management. Since 2024, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Capital University of Science and Technology, further contributing to academia and research.
