2. Department of Electrical Engineering

Engineering Admission Criteria
The criteria differ from degree to degree. It is different for BS, MS and PhD.
1. Bachelor’s Degree
At first, for bachelor’s degrees, you must obtain at least 60% marks in aggregate in FSC pre-engineering/ ICS (with physics and math for computer engineering)
In addition, if you are a diploma holder, you must have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the diploma of engineering of the relevant field of study.
2. MS Degrees
Secondly, for MS degrees, you must have at least 16 years of education in the relevant field. Furthermore, you need to maintain a CGPA of at least 2.00/4.00 or 50% marks in the bachelor of the relevant engineering programme.
3. Doctorate Degrees
Thirdly, for PhD degrees, what you need is an MS in the relevant field of study as well as a 3.00/4.00 CGPA (semester system) or 60% marks (annual system). You should also obtain a minimum of 60% marks in the NTS GAT subject test.
In addition to all these requirements, you must submit the statement of purpose for some of the Ph.D. degrees, too. Lastly, you have to pass your interview to confirm your admission to our doctorate programmes.
Important Note
- Additionally, you must pass the CUST admission test or HEC–approved test.
- In case of a foreign qualification, you are required to submit equivalence from IBCC.
