Dr. Nadeem Anjum

Dr. Nadeem Anjum has over 24 years of combined industrial and academic experience. He holds a PhD and an MS degree from Queen Mary University of London, UK, having received a fully funded scholarship for his doctoral studies. Currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Software Engineering at Capital University of Science and Technology (C.U.S.T) in Islamabad, Pakistan, he is a Senior Member of the IEEE. Dr. Anjum actively contributes as a technical reviewer for esteemed research journals and engages in nationally and internationally funded projects. He received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Intl. Conf. on Advanced Video and Signal-Based Surveillance (AVSS) in 2009. His research interests encompass artificial intelligence, eHealth, behavior analysis, and big data analytics.

Dr. Aamer Nadeem

Dr. Aamer Nadeem is a Professor of Software Engineering at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). His areas of research interest include application of artificial intelligence techniques in software testing and reliability; analysis of soft requirements; and metamorphic testing of machine learning algorithms. He is head of the Center for Software Dependability (CSD) – a research group at CUST, working in diverse areas within the domain of software reliability and dependability. Dr. Nadeem received his MSc degree in computer science from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), MS in software engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), and PhD in computer science from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU). During his PhD, he worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) under a research collaboration. He has over 35 years of teaching, research and industry experience in computer science and software engineering. He has supervised 50+ Masters and five PhD research theses in the areas of software testing, fault tolerance and formal methods. He has authored or co-authored 115 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. He is reviewer or editorial board member of several international peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

Dr. Rizwan Bin Faiz

He is a motivated and committed student of computing whose prime objective is to pursue research. However, teaching remains his passion. He holds the ambition to impart high-quality education in the fields of computer science and software engineering to students. His diversified teaching experience both national and international along with his research skills, supports him in pursuing this goal.

Dr. Sabeen Masood

Dr. Sabeen Masood is a highly accomplished professional who possesses a robust academic background and extensive software engineering experience. She earned her Ph.D. in Software Engineering from NUST’s College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Islamabad, following an MS from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. She is a reviewer of several international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Sabeen is an approved PhD supervisor by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. She has held various teaching roles at different universities. Her industry background includes a position as a quality assurance executive at PTCL. Dr. Sabeen has further enhanced her skills with certifications, such as a graduate course in blockchain technology from Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology, Islamabad, and a training certificate in web page development from Comsats Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad. Her impactful contributions to the academic community encompass research, publications, and teaching.

Dr. Saifullah

Dr. Saifullah completed his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Capital university of Science and Technology, Islamabad, in 2023. Dr. Saifullah has been teaching at college and university level for more than 20 years. Highly motivated, dedicated individual with excellent teaching skills, knowledge of educational technologies to develop and promote creativity, high-order thinking skills among students. His areas of interest are Computer Networks, Information Security and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Farah Haneef

Dr. Farah Haneef is a talented professional with a strong academic background and a wealth of software engineering expertise. After receiving an M-Phil in computer science from Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad and a BS in computer science from the Arid Agriculture University in Rawalpindi, she obtained her Ph.D. in computer science from Quaid-e-Azam University. She received a gold medal from the University of Arid Agriculture. She is an author of more than ten research publications and currently has a 20.8 Impact Factor. She reviews work for numerous worldwide, peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Farah has worked as a lecturer at several universities. Her notable input to the scholarly world consists of publications, teaching, and research.

Mr. Syed Awais Haider

Mr.Syed Awais Haider received the M.phil Degree from Quaid-i-azam university Islamabad. He has been associated with academia for the last three years in Quaid-i-azam university Islamabad.Currently, he is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the Capital University of Science & Technology, Islamabad.His Research interests include Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Optics, Particle physics and Physical Electronics.

Ms. Sadia Rasheed

Ms. Sadia Rasheed currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed his Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Lahore, Lahore in 2011, with almost 15 years of experience in academia. Her areas of interest are Wireless Networks, Network Security.

Mr. Ibrar Arshad

Mr. Mudassar Adeel

Mr. Mudassar Adeel Ahmed has done his BSc. Software Engineering from Mirpur University of Sciences & Technology and MS Computer Software Engineering from College of EME, National University of Sciences & Technology. Currently, he is enrolled in PhD. Computer Software Engineering in College of EME, National University of Sciences & Technology. Mr. Mudassar's research interests are in core Software Engineering i.e. Natural Language Processing, Model Driven Software Engineering and Software Requirement Engineering. He has an industrial experience of 1 year in Center for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE) . He has joined APCOMS-UET Taxila as Lecturer of Computer Science in 2017. After one year, he joined Capital University of Science & Technology as Lecturer of Software Engineering in 2018. He has authored and co-authored different research papers published in reputable international journals and conferences.

Ms. Nadia Ashfaq

Miss. Nadia Ashfaq currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Master in Software Engineering from the Comsats University Islamabad in 2016, with almost 5 years of experience in academia and industry. Her areas of interest are Software Process Improvement, Software Quality Engineering and Software Project Management.

Ms. Qudsia Yousaf

Ms. Qudsia Yousaf holds an experience of industry as well as academia. She has done her BS degree in Computer Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and MS degree in Software Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad. After BS she joined industry as a quality assurance engineer. She has experience of 2.5 years at well reputed organizations such as Xavor Corporation, Lahore and FiverRivers Technologies Lahore. After MS she started her academic journey as a Lecturer. She has six years of academic experience at different institutes/universities such as Grafton College Islamabad and University of Lahore Islamabad Campus. She has research interests in Software Engineering, HCI, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She has supervised FYP projects in her academic journey as well.

Mr. Zaheer Ahmad

Mr. Zaheer Ahmad currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Masters in Computer Science from the COMSATS University, Islamabad in 2017. He has nearly three years’ experience as a researcher and reviewer at COMSATS University, Islamabad. His areas of interests are Computer Networks and Machine/Deep Learning.

Ms. Itrat Fatima

Ms. Itrat Fatima completed the MS degree in Computer Science from the COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, in 2018, and joined academia where she worked at different positions including Research Associate and Lecturer. She has research interests in Artificial Intelligence, Smart Grids, Data Science and Machine Learning. She has supervised numerous FYP projects. She also worked as a Lecturer at University of Lahore, Islamabad Campus and have gained 4 years of experience.

Mr. Taimoor Riaz

Mr. Taimoor Riaz currently serves as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Master’s in Computer Science from the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2020, with almost 4 years of experience in academia and industry. His areas of interest are Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning.

Mr. M. Majid Zaman

Mr. Muhammad Majid Zaman currently serves as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Master’s in Computer Science from the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2020, with almost 4 years of experience in academia and industry. His areas of interest include Computer Networks, Information Security, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing.

Ms. Anum Naseem

PROFILE SUMMARY

Anum Naseem, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Computer Science at UET Taxila. With an MS in Computer Science from UET Taxila and five years of experience as a lecturer at the University of Lahore, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role as a Lecturer in the Department of Computing at Capital University of Science and Technology. Anum’s passion for research is appreciable with a focus on Internet of Things and Machine Learning.

Mr. Wasif Ali

Mr. Wasif Ali currently serves as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering Department at CUST.Previously, he held the position of Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Lahore, Sargodha Campus, from 2023 to 2024. He earned his Master’s in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad in 2023, following his Bachelor’s degree from International Islamic University. His areas of interest include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.

Ms. Khizra Bibi

Ms. Khizra Bibi currently serves as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Master’s in Computer Science from the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad in 2023, with almost 2 years of experience in academia and industry. Her areas of interest are Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning.

Ms. Saba Nawaz

Ms. Saba Nawaz currently serves as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Bachelors in Computer Science from National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad. She completed her Masters in Computer Science from the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2021, with almost 3 years of experience in ERUSMUS+ project SAFE-RH as a Research Associate. Her areas of interest are Data science & Machine Learning

Ms. Sabahat Asad

Ms. Sabahat Asad currently serves as a Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Bachelors in Computer Science from the International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2021, and Masters in Computer Science from FAST – National University of Computer and Emerging bSciences, Islamabad in 2023, with experience of Teaching Assistant. She has 1 year of experience in Academics as Visiting Lecturer at Foundation University, Islamabad and Rawalpindi Women University, Rawalpindi. Her areas of interest are Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Mr. Adnan Karamat

Mr. Adnan Karamat currently serves as a Associate Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Arid Agricultural University Rawalpindi, conferred in 2019, followed by a Master’s degree in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad, completed in 2024. His research interests lie in the fields of artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. With a passion for research and a strong academic foundation, he has honed a diverse skill set showcasing expertise in research methodology, advanced technical writing, critical analytical thinking, robust data analysis, and adept problem-solving capabilities.

Ms. Syeda Hafsa Ali

Ms. Ali has done her Masters in Software Engineering with major in hybrid learning techniques from NUST in 2023. She did her Bachelors from Fatima Jinnah Women University where her FYP earned her national runner up position in Microsoft Imagine Cup 2020. She has more than 3 years of working experience in industry and academia combined. Her area of interest includes Deep learning, Generative Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Software testing techniques

Ms. Amina Ashfaq

Ms. Amina Ashfaq is a dedicated in computer science field with a profound academic background and hands-on industry experience. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2018. Building upon her foundational knowledge, she pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science, graduating in 2021. Her research endeavors during her master's program focused on the critical domain of healthcare technology, specifically in ECG Signal Analysis to Detect Arrhythmia utilizing advanced Deep Neural Networks.

Ms. Asma Rauf

Ms. Asma Rauf currently serves as an Associate Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Master's degree in Computer Science from PMAS Arid Agriculture University in 2022. With almost 4 years of extensive experience in both academia and industry, she has published a conference paper in IEEE. Her research areas include Situational Method Engineering, Requirement Prioritization, and Agile Practices.

Mr. Qazi Shuja Ud Din

Mr. Qazi Shuja Uddin currently serves as an Associate Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Master's degree in Software Engineering from Riphah University, Islamabad in 2021. With almost 11 years of extensive experience in both academia and industry, he has published a conference paper in IEEE. His research areas include serious games, usability engineering, and systemic literature review.

Mr. Temour Abbas

Mr. Temour Abbas is working as an associate lecturer in the Software Engineering Department of the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. He has been associated with academia for the last 4 years. He was appointed as a Lab Instructor in 2019. His interest areas are Introduction to Programming, Object Oriented Programming, Software Architecture and Design, Software Construction and Development, and Mobile Application Development.

Mr. Imran Ul Haq

Mr. Imran ul haq currently serves as an Associate Lecturer in CUST’s Department of Software Engineering. He completed his MPhil in Computer Science from Quaid I Azam University, Islamabad in 2024, with almost 4 years of experience in academia and industry combined. Mr. Manan Shahid Bhatti currently serves as a Lab Instructor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Bachelors in Software Engineering from the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2024, with almost 1 year of experience in Web development. His areas of interest are Web Development & Machine Learning.

Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Zeb

Qurat-ul-Ain Zeb is a BS graduate who has demonstrated exceptional skills and creativity in her field. She created an award-winning IoT-based hyperkalemia detection system for her final year project, showcasing her ability to integrate innovative technology solutions with practical healthcare applications. Her expertise includes strong proficiency in networking and machine learning, making her a versatile and valuable asset in the tech industry. Qurat-ul-Ain is dedicated to leveraging her knowledge to develop cutting-edge solutions and drive advancements in her areas of expertise.

Ms. Tehreem Ahmed

Miss Tehreem Ahmed currently serves as a Lab Instructor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her bachelor’s in software engineering from the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2024.

Ms. S. Nida A. Bukhari

A dedicated Lab Instructor of Software Engineering, responsible for guiding students through hands-on implementation of software development concepts. Teaching programming practices, software design principles, version control, testing techniques, and software development methodologies (such as Agile and Waterfall). The instructor supports students in developing practical coding skills, using tools like IDEs, Git, and testing frameworks, while ensuring they follow best practices in software lifecycle management.

Mr. M. Hassaan
