Dr. Nadeem Anjum
Dr. Nadeem Anjum has over 24 years of combined industrial and academic experience. He holds a PhD and an MS degree from Queen Mary University of London, UK, having received a fully funded scholarship for his doctoral studies. Currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Software Engineering at Capital University of Science and Technology (C.U.S.T) in Islamabad, Pakistan, he is a Senior Member of the IEEE. Dr. Anjum actively contributes as a technical reviewer for esteemed research journals and engages in nationally and internationally funded projects. He received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Intl. Conf. on Advanced Video and Signal-Based Surveillance (AVSS) in 2009. His research interests encompass artificial intelligence, eHealth, behavior analysis, and big data analytics.
Dr. Aamer Nadeem
Dr. Aamer Nadeem is a Professor of Software Engineering at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). His areas of research interest include application of artificial intelligence techniques in software testing and reliability; analysis of soft requirements; and metamorphic testing of machine learning algorithms. He is head of the Center for Software Dependability (CSD) – a research group at CUST, working in diverse areas within the domain of software reliability and dependability. Dr. Nadeem received his MSc degree in computer science from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), MS in software engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), and PhD in computer science from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU). During his PhD, he worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) under a research collaboration. He has over 35 years of teaching, research and industry experience in computer science and software engineering. He has supervised 50+ Masters and five PhD research theses in the areas of software testing, fault tolerance and formal methods. He has authored or co-authored 115 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. He is reviewer or editorial board member of several international peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Dr. Rizwan Bin Faiz
Dr. Rizwan Bin Faiz earned his Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Loughborough University, UK. His research interests include Model-Driven Software Engineering, Security Threat Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence. He has supervised more than 25 master’s theses and is presently supervising PhD students. He has also served as an external examiner for PhD dissertations. His professional contributions include serving as Publication Chair of the International Multi-Topic Conference (INMIC) 2012 and Secretary of the 1st International Conference on Recent Advances in Computing, AI, and Data Science. Previously, he worked as a University Teacher in the Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University, UK. He also worked as a Research Assistant on the ICECOM project, a collaborative initiative funded by the British government and industry. A dedicated researcher and passionate educator, Dr. Rizwan aims to advance knowledge in computing while nurturing the next generation of computer scientists and software engineers. His diverse teaching experiences at both national and international levels, combined with his strong research background, enable him to pursue this mission effectively.
Dr. Sabeen Masood
Dr. Sabeen Masood is a highly accomplished professional who possesses a robust academic background and extensive software engineering experience. She earned her Ph.D. in Software Engineering from NUST’s College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Islamabad, following an MS from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. She is a reviewer of several international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Sabeen is an approved PhD supervisor by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. She has held various teaching roles at different universities. Her industry background includes a position as a quality assurance executive at PTCL. Dr. Sabeen has further enhanced her skills with certifications, such as a graduate course in blockchain technology from Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology, Islamabad, and a training certificate in web page development from Comsats Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad. Her impactful contributions to the academic community encompass research, publications, and teaching.
Dr. Saifullah
Dr. Saifullah completed his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Capital university of Science and Technology, Islamabad, in 2023. Dr. Saifullah has been teaching at college and university level for more than 20 years. Highly motivated, dedicated individual with excellent teaching skills, knowledge of educational technologies to develop and promote creativity, high-order thinking skills among students. His areas of interest are Computer Networks, Information Security and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. M. Shahwar Asad
Dr. M. Shahwar Asad earned his Doctorate (PhD) in Software Engineering from Qingdao University, China. His doctoral research focused on AI-driven physical layer security, specifically developing Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) techniques for Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRS)-assisted Terahertz communication in 6G networks. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence for Wireless Communications, Physical Layer Security, 6G Networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He has a strong publication record in high-impact journals such as IEEE Access and the IEEE Internet of Things Journal. Dr. M. Shahwar has supervised multiple master's students and has been actively involved in academia, serving as a Teaching Assistant for various computer science courses during his master's program. As a dedicated researcher and educator, Dr. M. Shahwar aims to advance the frontiers of secure and intelligent communication systems for next-generation networks while mentoring future engineers and computer scientists.
Dr. Farah Haneef
Dr. Farah Haneef is a talented professional with a strong academic background and a wealth of software engineering expertise. After receiving an M-Phil in computer science from Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad and a BS in computer science from the Arid Agriculture University in Rawalpindi, she obtained her Ph.D. in computer science from Quaid-e-Azam University. She received a gold medal from the University of Arid Agriculture. She is an author of more than ten research publications and currently has a 20.8 Impact Factor. She reviews work for numerous worldwide, peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Farah has worked as a lecturer at several universities. Her notable input to the scholarly world consists of publications, teaching, and research.
Dr. Shumaila Iqbal
Dr. Shumaila Iqbal currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Ph. D in Computing from Riphah International University, Islamabad in 2025, with almost 9 years of experience in academia. Her areas of interest are Model Driven Security, Aspect-oriented Modelling, Software Testing and Artificial Intelligence.
Ms. Sadia Rasheed
Ms. Sadia Rasheed currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed his Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Lahore, Lahore in 2011, with almost 15 years of experience in academia. Her areas of interest are Wireless Networks, Network Security.
Mifzal Ahmad Khan
Mr. Mifzal Ahmad Khan is a highly qualified professional from Liverpool Hope University, UK, with more than 10 years of experience across both the industry and education sectors. He is a former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked as a System Administrator and Consultant in Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition to his previous roles, he has worked with UK and German clients as a DevOps and Cloud Engineer. His areas of expertise include systems, networks, DevOps, cloud computing, infrastructure, and security.
Mr. Ibrar Arshad
Mr. Syed Awais Haider
Mr.Syed Awais Haider received the M.phil Degree from Quaid-i-azam university Islamabad. Mr. Shahzad Rafiq
Mr. Shahzad Rafiq is a Software Engineering and Computational Intelligence academic and industry professional with an MS in Computer Science and research in Computational Intelligence. With extensive experience across academia and industry, his work spans Software Engineering, Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Engineering, and ERP implementation. He actively bridges academic knowledge with real-world organizational challenges, bringing practical industry experience into teaching, applied research, and student projects. His current research and development interests focus on Agentic AI, autonomous and intelligent systems, AI-enabled software engineering, computational intelligence, intelligent business-process automation, and AI agents for Enterprise level solutions, with an emphasis on industry-oriented innovation and university–industry collaboration. He has authored several research articles published in reputable international journals and conference papers presented at well-recognized national/international venues, focusing on developing robust and scalable vision-based intelligent systems.
Ms. Maham Khan

She holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, and a BS in Computer Science from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Her expertise encompasses Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and intelligent computing applications, reflecting her dedication to advancing emerging technologies and fostering innovation in the field.
Ms. Nadia Ashfaq
Miss. Nadia Ashfaq currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Master in Software Engineering from the Comsats University Islamabad in 2016, with almost 5 years of experience in academia and industry. Her areas of interest are Software Process Improvement, Software Quality Engineering and Software Project Management.
Ms. Qudsia Yousaf
Ms. Qudsia Yousaf holds an experience of industry as well as academia. She has done her BS degree in Computer Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and MS degree in Software Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad. After BS she joined industry as a quality assurance engineer. She has experience of 2.5 years at well reputed organizations such as Xavor Corporation, Lahore and FiverRivers Technologies Lahore. After MS she started her academic journey as a Lecturer. She has six years of academic experience at different institutes/universities such as Grafton College Islamabad and University of Lahore Islamabad Campus. She has research interests in Software Engineering, HCI, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She has supervised FYP projects in her academic journey as well.
Mr. Zaheer Ahmad
Mr. Zaheer Ahmad currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Masters in Computer Science from the COMSATS University, Islamabad in 2017. He has nearly three years’ experience as a researcher and reviewer at COMSATS University, Islamabad. His areas of interests are Computer Networks and Machine/Deep Learning.
Mr. Mudassar Adeel
Mr. Mudassar Adeel Ahmed has done his BSc. Software Engineering from Mirpur University of Sciences & Technology and MS Computer Software Engineering from College of EME, National University of Sciences & Technology. Currently, he is enrolled in PhD. Computer Software Engineering in College of EME, National University of Sciences & Technology. Mr. Mudassar's research interests are in core Software Engineering i.e. Natural Language Processing, Model Driven Software Engineering and Software Requirement Engineering. He has an industrial experience of 1 year in Center for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE) . He has joined APCOMS-UET Taxila as Lecturer of Computer Science in 2017. After one year, he joined Capital University of Science & Technology as Lecturer of Software Engineering in 2018. He has authored and co-authored different research papers published in reputable international journals and conferences.
Ms. Anum Naseem
Ms. Anum Naseem, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Computer Science at UET Taxila. With an MS in Computer Science from UET Taxila and five years of experience as a lecturer at the University of Lahore, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Computing at Capital University of Science and Technology. Anum’s passion for research is appreciable with a focus on Internet of Things and Machine Learning.
Ms. Amal Zafar
Ms. Amal Zafar is a Computer Science researcher and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. She completed her MS in Software Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. Her research interests include Software Design and Machine Learning, with a focus on designing intelligent, scalable, and maintainable software systems using modern machine learning techniques. He earned his Master’s in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad in 2023, following his Bachelor’s degree from International Islamic University. Ms. Maria Javed
Ms. Maria Javed is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the International Islamic University Islamabad (2020) and a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Military College of Signals, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) (2023). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Software Engineering from NUST. Before joining CUST, she served as a Lecturer at the University of Lahore for more than 1.5 years, where she taught undergraduate courses and actively engaged in academic development. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she also contributed to research and software development projects at NUST, focusing on quality assurance and risk management in software systems. Mr. Osama Javid
Mr. Osama Javid completed his MS in Artificial Intelligence from Air University, Islamabad, in January 2025. He has worked in various academic positions, including AI Lecturer at NUML, and the University of Kotli, where he has taught courses and supervised research projects in Artificial Intelligence and related fields. He also has professional industry experience as an AI Engineer, working on machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, and intelligent video analytics, with research interests in Medical Imaging, Explainable AI, Multimodal AI, and Agentic AI.

Ms. Amina Ashfaq
Ms. Amina Ashfaq is a dedicated in computer science field with a profound academic background and hands-on industry experience. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2018. Mr. Temour Abbas
Mr. Temour Abbas is working as an associate lecturer in the Software Engineering Department of the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. He has been associated with academia for the last 4 years. He was appointed as a Lab Instructor in 2019. Engr. Madiha Khanam is serving as an Associate Lecturer at the CUST, Islamabad. She completed her MS in Software Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad in 2024. Before joining academia, she worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst in the software industry, focusing on software reliability, performance, and quality assurance. Her research interests include Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Image Processing, with a focus on developing intelligent systems that analyze and understand visual data.
Ms. Mamoona Waheed
Ms. Mamoona Waheed is an Associate Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), where she teaches undergraduate Software Engineering courses. She holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad, with specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. Prior to joining CUST, she served as a faculty member at Riphah International University, teaching postgraduate courses in MS Data Science and MS Artificial Intelligence. She also worked as a Research Assistant at the National Centre of GIS and Space Applications (IST), contributing to satellite imaging, AI-based pattern recognition, and research supervision. Her research interests include computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, and intelligent systems. Ms. Samar Fatima
Ms. Syeda Samar Fatima is an Associate Lecturer at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from CUST in 2024 and completed her Master of Science in Software Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, in 2026. Her academic interests include Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Healthcare Informatics. Ms. Sidra Tul Muntaha
Ms. Sidra Tul Muntaha is an Associate Lecturer at CUST and an emerging software engineering professional with a strong academic foundation, holding both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Software Engineering. Her academic journey reflects a consistent focus on software development principles, systems design, and engineering best practices, backed by over two years of teaching experience in the Computer Department at Riphah International University.
Mr. Moavia Hassan
Mr. Moavia Hassan is an Associate Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, with research interests in computer vision and medical image analysis. He completed his BS in Computer Science from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, in 2024 and his MS in Data Science from UET Taxila in 2026, where he was awarded a Gold Medal with a CGPA of 3.96/4.0. His MS research developed a hybrid Transformer-CNN model (SegFormer encoder with U-Net decoder) for segmenting gastrointestinal organs in MRI scans, achieving a Dice score of 0.9137 and outperforming established baselines such as nnU-Net and TransUNet. He has published a research article on large-scale email spam detection in the Lahore Garrison University Research Journal of Computer Science and Information Technology. Before joining CUST, he worked as a DevOps Engineer at IntraClouds and served as a Section Leader in Stanford University's Code in Place program
Mr. Basharat Sagheer
Mr. Basharat Sagheer Kayani is a Computer Science researcher specializing in Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and Deep Learning. He completed his BS in Computer Science from the University of Poonch, Rawalakot, in 2021 as a Gold Medalist, and his MS in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad in 2026 as a Session Topper. His research focuses on Explainable AI and Counterfactual Explanations for medical image analysis, particularly kidney disease detection using CT images. His research interests include XAI, Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Medical Image Analysis.
Mr. Muhammad Awais
Mr. Muhammad Awais did his BS software Engineering from Capital University of Science and Technology Islamabad. He started his career from software industry as Software Architecture and Design team member. He worked as Research Assistant in DSH, International Islamic University Islamabad. Currently he is working as Lab Instructor in Department of Software Engineering in Capital University of Science and technology Islamabad. He has numerous publications in International conferences and journals. His research Interests are in Machine learning, Natural Language Processing.
Ms. Asma Ali
Ms. Asma Ali currently serves as a Lab Instructor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Master’s in Software Engineering from the Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi in 2020, with almost 2 years of experience in industry. Her areas of interest are Software Development especially Mobile Application Development using different frameworks (Java, Android Studio, React Native).
Ms. Zuha Raza
Ms. Zuha Raza is currently a Lab Instructor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2021, with almost 3 years of experience in academia and industry. Her areas of interest are the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning.

Ms. Anam Zahra currently serves as a Lab instructor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. She completed her Master’s in Computer Science from the Alhamd Islamic University Islamabad in 2022, with almost 2 years of experience in academia. Her areas of interest are Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning.
Mr. Manan Shahid
Mr. Manan Shahid Bhatti currently serves as a Lab Instructor in the Software Engineering department at CUST. He completed his Bachelors in Software Engineering from the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2024, with almost 1 year of experience in Web development. His areas of interest are Web Development & Machine Learning.
Ms. Tehreem Ahmed

Ms. Shiza Raza
Ms. Shiza Raza serving as a Lab Instructor in the Department of Software Engineering at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (BSSE) from CUST in 2024. Her areas of interest include software development, programming fundamentals, and modern computing tools. She is dedicated to enhancing students’ practical skills and supporting them in applying theoretical concepts to real-world problems.

As a Lab Instructor at Capital University of Science and Technology, Javeria Khalid is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices in the field of Software Engineering. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Capital University of Science and Technology, where she developed a strong academic foundation and a keen interest in Business Analysis, Human Computer Interaction, Software Requirements Engineering, Software Architecture & Design, and Software Quality Engineering. Alongside her academic journey, she has gained valuable industry exposure and practical experience related to these domains, enabling her to bring real-world insights into the classroom. A motivated and dedicated Lab Instructor currently serving at CUST since March 2026, with responsibilities focused on guiding students in the practical implementation of theoretical computing concepts. She conducts laboratory sessions, assists students in problem-solving, and helps bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. She possesses strong communication, teamwork, and technical skills, along with the ability to create an interactive and supportive learning environment for students. She is passionate about continuous learning and committed to helping students develop practical knowledge and technical confidence in the field of Software Engineering.
Mr. Haris Miraj
Mr. Haris Miraj is a Software Engineering graduate of CUST University, Islamabad, with hands-on expertise across full-stack development, AI/ML integration, IoT systems, and cybersecurity. He has delivered end-to-end projects spanning AI-driven analytics platforms, real-time IoT monitoring systems, and applied security assessments, built on modern stacks such as the MERN ecosystem and Google Cloud infrastructure. His core strengths lie in building scalable web and mobile applications, designing intelligent systems powered by machine learning and computer vision, and conducting structured vulnerability assessments to strengthen system security, bringing together strong software architecture, clean engineering practice, and a problem-solving mindset across the full development lifecycle.
Mr. Shuja uz Zaman
Mr. Shuja uz Zaman is a Software Engineer specializing in 3D modeling, game development, and modern software development. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (BS SE) from Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) during 2022–2026. His experience encompasses interactive 3D environment design, game engine development, system architecture, and AI-driven applications, with a strong focus on building scalable, real-time software solutions and intelligent interactive systems.

Mr. Sakhi Ghulam Mohi Ud Din is working as a Lab Instructor at Capital University of Science and Technology. His areas of interest include Software Engineering, Web Development, and programming. He conducts laboratory sessions for undergraduate courses including Object Oriented Programming, ICT, and Software Quality Engineering, with a focus on developing students’ practical understanding and problem-solving abilities.

Ms. Hafiza Laiba Ahmad Khan is a Software Engineering graduate from the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. Her areas of interest include software engineering, artificial intelligence, databases, and Information Security. Her Final Year Project, ACQIP (Automated Continuous Quality Improvement Process), focused on developing a software-based solution to support and improve the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process of the Software Engineering department. She is interested in applying software engineering concepts to develop practical solutions for academic and organizational processes.

Mr. Sheikh Saif ur Rehman Siddiqui is working as a Lab Instructor at Capital University of Science and Technology. Ms. Amna Ejaz is a Computer Science professional and researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Application Development. She completed her BSCS from CUST, Islamabad, as a Silver Medalist with a CGPA of 3.89/4.00 and is currently pursuing her MS in Artificial Intelligence. Her interests include machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and intelligent mobile applications.
