Dr. M Abdul Qadir
Twenty five years of my career can be categorized into three main areas as industry, academia and management. I am currently actively involved in teaching / R&D and academic management. I have been teaching and doing research in the development of simple and efficient algorithms to solve real-life problems by using soft computing. From times to times, I have been focusing on problems in different domains. My current focus is on semantic web, multimedia semantics, Ontologies, distributed systems and bioinformatics as is clear from more than 80 research publications in international refereed proceedings and journals. I have been playing a leading role in the management of industry and academia and have produced significant results in achieving the goals of these R&D organizations. I have played a pivotal role in the organization of three international conferences in Pakistan. I am also on the program committees of various international conferences. I have presented myscholarly work in many conferences all over the world. In the first five years of my carrier I was involved in the design and development of systems in the areas of Electronic (analogue & digital), Integration of Electronics with Optics, Development of interfaces between heterogeneous electronics systems / modules by different vendors, system level production facility design and management, understanding the ballistic computing systems for main battle tanks, Integration of thermal imaging system with existing ballistic computers, and successful tests & field trials of these systems in the main battle tanks. My multi-dimensional experience of work in industry, academia, management and consultancy in different sectors has been an excellent help to solve high-tech challenging problems as well as to lead projects & organizations. I enjoy an exceptional combination of technical and communication skills which have always been helpful in getting work done from all the team members. I am very much interested in utilization of my energies in the development of higher education, research institutions and technical organizations in developing countries like Pakistan.
Dr. Nayyer Masood
Nayyer Masood has been teaching at university level for more than 25 years. He started his career from Bahauddin Zakariay Unviersity, Multan and is among the pioneer teachers of the department. He played pivotal role in initiating different programs in the Department of Computer Science at the BZU Multan. Later he did his PhD from University of Bradford, UK and rejoined BZU Multan. Meanwhile he also served at different universities or degree awarding institutes like Barani Institute of Information Technology, Rawalpindi and COMSATS Wah. Later he served at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad as Associate Professor and Head of Computer Science Department. for more than eight years. Currently he is serving as HoD Computer Science at Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. He is mainly involved in teaching Database related courses.
Dr. Amir Qayyum
Self motivated and ambitious, having both management and technical expertise with leadership skills to effectively lead a team; creative and visionary thought leader, numerous publications and co-author of an RFC in IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) about mobile ad hoc networks; Fifteen years of teaching experience at Masters and Ph.D. level, including professional trainings, seminars and conferences in the area of networking; also supervising many MS and Ph.D students in their research; Ten years of administration and management experience as Dean Faculty of Engineering, Head of Electronic Engineering Department and Chairman of Computer Engineering department; plus more than eight years of experience as Project Director of many R&D projects, managing all activities including project planning, budget planning and management, HR management and development and other technical activities; Seven years of industry experience, including four years as technical team lead, in networks and data communications, protocol stack development and system design; Actively involved with IEEE Islamabad Section (since 2005); Chair IEEE Computer Society Islamabad Chapter (since June 2009), Secretary and Treasurer IEEE Islamabad Section (2011 - 2013); Chair Executive Council Internet Society (ISOC) Islamabad Chapter; Expertise in network routing protocols, IPv4 and IPv6, Wireless and Mobile networking, IEEE 802.11 and 802.16, QoS, VoIP, IPSec and Network Security; good understanding of project management, HR development with personal leadership, finance, industrial psychology, organizational leadership, professional ethics, etc.; Multi-cultural personality with understanding of many languages and having done extensive tourism all around the world.
Dr. Abdul Basit Siddiqui
Dr. Abdul Basit completed PhD in Computer Science in 2010 from National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences (NUCES) FAST Islamabad. Later he worked in different universities in Pakistan on different positions. In 2014, he joined Dept. of Computer Science in Saudi Electronics University, Jeddah and after serving almost two years there, he travelled to Canada for further research. He joined Capital University of Science & Technology in 2018. Dr. Siddiqui has been member of different university and HEC level committees including National Curriculum and Revision Committee for Computer Science in 2012-2013. He earned scholarships at different stages of education which include Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST) scholarship in 2000 and HEC MS leading to PhD scholarship. Dr. Siddiqui has authored more than 20 international conferences and journal publications. He is also co-author of two international books. There are a number of MS and PhD scholars working under his supervision.
Dr. Mohammad Masroor Ahmed
Dr. Masroor Ahmed is working as an Associate Professor in the department of Computer Science, Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST) Islamabad. He earned his PhD degree from University Technology Malaysia, Malaysia. He has more than ten years of post PhD teaching and research experience. He authored and coauthored in various International conferences and well reputed scientific journals. His main research area is digital image processing and speech processing. Presently he is supervising MS-PhD Students.
Dr. Muhammad Siraj Rathore
M. Siraj Rathore has blend of experience both from academia and IT industry. He started his professional career in 2002 after completing his Master of Computer Science degree from university of arid agriculture Rawalpindi. He worked as a software engineer at Pakistan International Computer Limited and contributed in various software development projects. Meanwhile he also enrolled in MS Computer Engineering program at Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering and completed degree in 2005. After that, Dr. Rathore started his academic career and served as a faculty member at University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. Later he did his Ph.D. from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. At KTH, he worked at networked systems laboratory and participated in international research projects. He also served as a consultant at Ericsson Sweden for some time. Later he came back to Pakistan in 2019 and joined Barani Institute of Information Technology Rawalpindi as an assistant professor. Currently he is working as an assistant professor at Capital University of Science and Technology. He is the member of Advanced Network and Security research group and teaching computer networks and object-oriented programming courses.
Dr. Qamar Mahmood
Dr. Qamar Mahmood received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad in 2019. His research interests include Ontology Engineering, Text Mining, Cyber Security, and Cryptography. He has published his work in different journals and conferences of international repute. He is also working as MS Thesis Coordinator for Computer Science department. Dr. Qamar Mahmood has also received M.Sc. Computer Engineering degree in 2006 from Center of Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE) affiliated with University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila. Before that he earned M.Sc. Computer Science degree in 2000 from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad. He has 20 years of Academic Experience (Teaching, Project Supervision and Academic Administration). Beside that he has also 4 years of industry experience in software development, operational management and information security management in IT healthcare-based environment. Beside teaching, final year project, and MS Thesis supervision, he is also working as Internship Coordinator for Computer Science department.
Mr. Bilal Ahmad
I completed my masters in 2010 and bachelors in 2006. I have strong interest in computer networks. In my career I have worked with various groups that were involved in establishing and configuring networks. I am capable of configuring and deploying CISCO switches, router, firewalls, red hat linux server, squid proxy server, windows server 2003, windows server 2008, active directory server, dhcp servers, establishing VPN connections. Above all this I love teaching as a professional career as this open my mind towards new dimensions.
Mr. Salman Ahmed
Mr. Salman Ahmed is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science Department of Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, where he is also coordinating the department labs. He did his MS(CS) degree in Software Engineering from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad. During his MS(CS) degree he was appointed as a Junior Lecturer in 2011. He has been allied with academia from the last 4 years. His research area is Mobile agents Communication and RDF Graphs. He was also associated with Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority (PEMRA) as a web developer in 2010.
Mr. Hafiz Anas Bilal
Anas Bilal is pursuing his PhD in Software Engineering from FAST-NU. He joined Capital University of Science and Technology as a Lecturer in 2020. He has been associated with academia for past 6 years. His main areas of research include Software Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) with a focus on issues of accessibility and usability, collaboration and social interaction, such as computer-mediated communication, emergent technologies, social media, and human computation.
Ms. Mammona Qudsia
Ms. Mammona Qudsia received her masters degree in Computer Science from the FAST-NU, LHR. She started her career as Software Engineer from Gameview studios in 2011 and then promoted to Senior Software Engineer in 2013. Later, she joined UCP, LHR as Associate Lecturer. Currently she is working as Lecturer in Department of Computer Science, Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. Her area of research is Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Dr. Muhammad Bilal (PhD UET, Taxila)
Mr. Muhammad Bilal is currently pursuing his PhD in Software Engineering from UET, Taxila. He has completed his MS degree in Computer Engineering from NUST EME College, in 2013, and BE in Computer Engineering from COMSATS, Wah, in 2008, and join University of Wah in 2009 as Lecturer in CS Department. He has an industrial experience of 4 years as an Android Developer in different multinational software houses, 5 years of teaching experience, and 3 years of stiped-based PhD research experience from UET, Taxila. He has published multiple research papers in international journals.
Ms. Nirmal Tariq
I started teaching as visiting faculty at university level during my MS in Computer Science from SEECS-NUST. After completing my MS degree, I joined Fatima Jinnah Women university on regular basis and have been in academia since 2017. Currently, I am working as Lecturer in Capital University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Omaid Ghayyur
Mr. Omaid Ghayyur is currently working as a Lecturer in Computer Science Department of Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. After the completion of Bachelor degree from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad campus. He worked for four-years in software industry as chief technical officer and business analyst. He did his MS(CS) degree in Computer Science from Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. He was appointed as Junior Lecturer in 2018. He has been allied with academia from the last 2 years. His research area is Graph analysis, Bioinformatics, Data Analysis, Software Testing and Mutation Testing.
Ms. Tayyaba Zaheer
Tayyaba Zaheer has been teaching at university level for more than 02 years. She started her career after BS in Computer Science in 2013 as Internee Software Developer at Whizpool, Pakistan. After that she worked as internee at Jolta Technologies, Pakistan. Then she joined a semi government organization i.e. Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd. (PRAL) as Internee Research and Development. Serving Pakistan Army as a Software developer is also on her credit. Later she has done her MS in Computer Science from School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST in 2017. During MS studies at NUST, she has served as Teaching Assistant for one semester. After MS, she started her teaching career at Barani Institute of Management Sciences (BIMS). During her teaching career, she taught as Temporary Visiting faculty at different universities including BIMS, Iqra University, and NUST. Currently she is serving as Lecturer Computer Science at Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad.
Ms. Maham Tariq
I have been associated with academia for the last 3 years at CUST. Currently, working as a associate lecturer in Computer Science department, CUST, Islamabad. I had completed my 8-week internship at Aspire Logics Software Limited during my bachelor’s degree as a Junior Intern in Mobile Apps Team. Shortly after the completion of my bachelor’s degree I worked in Skyscrapers Private Limited as an Academic Writer for two months. I joined CUST as a Lab Instructor in 2019, and completed my MSCS degree along with it.
Ms. Farhana Tanveer
I am working as a Lab Instructor in the Computer Science department of the Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. I have been associated with academia from September 2020 at Capital University of science and technology. I was appointed as a Lab Instructor in 2020, along with the professional teaching career, I have also completed MS in Computer Science from Capital University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Hashim Ayub
Mr. Hashim completed the MS degree in computer science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST), Islamabad in 2021 and joined Capital University of Science and Technology as an associate lecturer. His research interests are in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Evolutionary Computation.
Mr. Mohsin Khan
Mr. Mohsin Khan obtained his MS degree in Computer Science under Fully Funded Graduate Scholarship from the GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan., in 2020. His area of research during his MS was Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence where he worked at MDS lab in and proposed new algorithms for Multi-view Learning. His MS work is published in Applied Intelligence Journal with IF of 5.01. He received several awards for his academic performance. He joined academia as a lecturer in Riphah International University (RIU), where he was member of research and development committee. Currently he is working as a Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology since March 2022.
Mr. Muhammad Zeeshan Sabir
Mr. Zeeshan Sabir completed the Master degree in Information Security from the Riphah institute of System Engineering (RISE), Islamabad and have done Software Engineering from UET.He worked at various positions including software engineer in Pakistan Telecommunication Cooperation Ltd Islamabad, Web developer in Dewintec, Network administrator in Asian Building System (ABS) making him a perfect fit to join academia. He worked as lecturer in Riphah International University and now working in Capital university of Science and Technology Islamabad to make quality factor sustainable in its educational services. During his career he has completed several exciting projects in information systems.
Mr. Adnan Jelani
Mr. Adnan Jelani is currently working as an Associate Lecturer in Computer Science Department of Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. After the completion of bachelor’s degree from Federal Urdu University, Islamabad, he worked for a year in software industry as software engineer (Unit Testing). He completed the MS degree in computer science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST), Islamabad in 2022 and joined Capital University of Science and Technology as an Associate Lecturer. His research areas are Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary Computation, Software Testing and Machine Learning.
Ms. Aisha Khalid
Aisha Khalid completed the MS degree in Computer from the University of Agriculture, FSD, in 2017, and joined Software Industry where she worked as Android Developer and later she joined academia where she worked as an educator for two years. She is Currently working as Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. Aisha Khalid’s research interests are in Human-Computer Interaction and Requirement Engineering.
Dr. Syed Saqib Raza Rizvi
Dr. Syed Saqib Raza completed the PhD degree in Computer Science from the national College of Business Administration & Economics, PK., in 2020, and joined academia where he worked at different positions including Lecture and Assistant Professor. Dr. Syed Saqib Raza research interests are in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. He has supervised numerous MS and currently co-supervising one PhD research projects. He authored 9 research ISI-indexed and impact factor papers.
Dr. Umair Rafique
Dr. Umair Rafique completed his PhD in 2013 from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, working in the area of Commonsense Reasoning, Goal Adoption and Goal Generation in Autonomous Intelligent Agents. Soon afterwards he joined Air University, Islamabad as an Assistant Professor. In 2014, Dr. Rafique moved to Northern Borders University (NBU), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he worked as an Assistant Professor till 2022. At NBU, Dr. Rafique led the team that helped the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology receive ABET (USA) accreditation for its Bachelors in Information Technology program. Dr. Rafique has published his work in reputable international conferences. His current research interests include automatic math word problem solving, commonsense reasoning and deep learning.

Dr. Abdul Rehman Kashif
Dr. Abdul Rehman Kashif has completed his PhD degree in the symmetries of spacetimes in General Relativity from the Quad-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in 2004 and joined as an Assistant Professor in the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NUST) Islamabad in the same year. He has worked as a Postdoctoral fellow in the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. He has vast teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate teaching in Mathematics. Currently, he is working in N-Body Problem and restricted 5 or 6 body problems in Celestial Mechanics.
Dr. Muhammad Sagheer
Dr. Muhammad Sagheer did his PhD degree in 2005 from university of Sussex, England. He Joined NUST Institute of Information Technology (SEECS) in 2006 for a year and joined MAJU Islamabad campus in 2007, which was later transformed into Capital University of Science and Technology. He was given the responsibilities of Head of Mathematics Department and Director Student Affairs in 2012. His research interests are Computational Fluid Dynamics and Computational Mathematics. Dr. Muhammad Sagheer has published more than fifty research articles in reputed journals.
Dr. Rashid Ali
Dr Rashid Ali has completed his PhD degree in Mathematics from the University of Passau, Germany in 2011. His research interests are in Cryptography and Cryptanalysis. He also has good command on computer algebra and applications and probabilistic metric species He is also working for the development of fixed point theory in various abstract spaces. He is currently working as Associate Professor in Capital University of Science and Technology CUST. He has supervised numerous BS, MS and MPhil projects.
Dr. Muhammad Afzal
Muhammad Afzal joined CUST in 2015. He previously worked at Bahria University Islamabad and Wah Engineering College, as a visiting Lecturer. Muhammad Afzal did his PhD in acoustics scattering and structural vibrations at Quad-i-Azam University, Islamabad, under the supervision of Prof Muhammad Ayub. His PhD focused on the use of Mode-Matching (MM) technique and Non- Sturm-Liouville systems. He extended MM approach using Galerkin procedure, in collaboration with Dr Jane B Lawrie at Brunel University, London, UK. His recent research interests have focused on the development of effective analytical and computational models for the analysis of guided waves, which has been incorporated the propagation of sound waves in air, but also elastic waves in structures.
Dr. Dur e Shehwar Sagheer
Dr. Dur-e-Shehwar Sagheer has joined academia in 2003. Meanwhile she completed her M. Phil from University of Sussex, UK and PhD. from capital University of Science and Technology. She has fifteen years of teaching experience. She has solid ability to stay organized and on top of important deadlines when teaching full load of classes each semester. She is actively involved in arranging different activities for female students. A committed, knowledgeable and capable Research Fellow. Supervising M.Phil. and PhD. Students.
Dr. Samina Rashid
Dr. Samina Rashid has completed Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Capital University of Science and Technology in 2016. Before that, She has done M.Phil. from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad Pakistan in 2001. She worked as a research associate at the University of Passau, Germany for two years in the chair of symbolic computations. She also worked from 2003 to 2006 in Nescom as a manager. Her research area is Functional Analysis, especially Fixed Point Theory. She is also working in Cryptography and Cryptanalysis. Currently, She is supervising four M.Phil. students and two students have completed their degree in M.Phil. under my supervision. She has more than fifteen years of teaching experience at graduate and undergraduate level.
Mr. Naveed Ahmed Gondal
Mr. Naveed Ahmed Gondal is Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. He holds M.Sc in History and M.Phil in Pakistan Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and LLB from University of th Punjab, Lahore. His area of interest includes Indo-Pakistan History, Constitutional and Political developments in Pakistan, Foreign Policy of Pakistan, Law and International Affairs. He is also a member of Punjab Bar Council, Lahore and an advocate at District and Session Court Mandi Bahauddin. He has been teaching as Lecturer at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), Islamabad. He also worked as Visiting Faculty at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and Arid Agricultural University, Rawalpindi.
Mr. Naeemullah Khan
Mr. Naeemullah Khan is Assistant Professor at Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, he also taught in Mohmmad Ali Jinnah University Islamabad Campus as Assistant Professor and in International Islamic University Islamabad as lecturer. He is recognized Shari’ah Advisor by Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on Islamic Finance and Zakat matters. He completed his madrasa education from recognized Wafaq-ul-Madris by Higher Education Commission (HEC) and completed “Moulvi Fāzal” and “Shadāt-ul-‘Ālmiyah” degrees. He did B.A (Hons.) Usūl-ud-Dīn (Islamic Studies) four years degree program from International Islamic University, Islamabad and M.S in Islamic Business and Finance from Riphah International University, Islamabad. Mr. Khan contributed first book on Islamic Microfinance in Urdu by title of “An Introduction to Islamic Microfinance” which is published by Islamic Microfinance Resource Centre (IMRC) Islamabad. He is Experience journalist and played different role as Magazine Editor/ Editorial writer in leading national newspapers of Pakistan. Now a days he contributes his column in daily Nawa-e-waqt and daily Jinnah.
Mr. Muhammad Nauman
Mr. Muhammad Nauman is Lecturer at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. He holds M.Sc. in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and Master in Islamic Studies and Master in Pakistan Studies from University of Sargodha and MS Pakistan Studies from International Islamic University Islamabad. His area of interest includes Islamic Studies, Indo-Pakistan History, Islam and Pakistan, Constitutional and Political developments in Pakistan, Foreign Policy of Pakistan, Law and International Affairs. He also worked as Visiting Faculty at National university of Science and Technology, FAST NUCES, International Islamic University Islamabad and University of Lahore Islamabad.
Dr. Muhammad Sabeel Khan
Dr. Khan holds a Promotion degree in Computational Mechanics with distinction "magna cum laude" from Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. He has presented his research work at different national and international forums of high repute in America, Spain, Italy, Germany and Serbia. He has a strong publication record in reputed international journals of high impact. His research interests include: Computational Mechanics, Extended Continuum Field Theories, non-Classical Continuum Theories, Eringen Field Theories, Mechanics of Fluid-Solid Interactions, Finite Element Analysis, Heat and Mass Transfer, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Numerical Analysis, Modeling and Simulations, Coding with MATLAB, FreeFEM++ and FEniCS.
Mr. Waqar Younas
Waqar Younas joined CUST in 2021. He has done M.phil in Mathematics from Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. Under the supervision of Prof Dr. Muhammad Sagheer he analyzed MHD fluid flow by Shooting Method in M.phil. Currently he is working on Advance Numerical Techniques for the analysis of real life problems such as problems of fluid dynamics, computational biology and Heat and Mass transfer.
Mr. Azhar Rauf Khan
Mr. Azhar Rauf has completed his MS in Mathematics from the Islamic International University Islamabad. His research interests are in Group Algebra.
Mr. Muhammad Iqbal
Muhammad Iqbal completed his MS degree in Islamic Business and Finance from Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan. His study area is Islamic Study and deals all Shariah compliance matters especially related to Business and Financial Institutions, including identifying their shariah status and presenting their shariah alternative solution.
Dr. Abid Kamran
Dr. Abid Kamran has completed Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) Islamabad Pakistan in 2020. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computing at Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. His research interest includes Numerical methods for boundary value problems, Heat transfer problems, Similar and non-similar solutions. He has published in various international journals.
Ms. Ayyesha Kanwal Ahmed
Ms. Ayyesha Kanwal Ahmed is a PhD scholar whose major field of interest is Mathematical Physics. She holds MS degree in Mathematics from National University of Science and Technology (NUST). She also carries an experience of teaching at NUST and Foundation University Islamabad as visiting faculty. Her major areas of research are cosmic censorship and self-force effects of black holes and accretion of black holes.
Ms. Rida Rafaqat
Ms Rida Rafaqat is working as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Computing in Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. She has completed MS in Mathematics from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2018. Currently, she is doing her PHD in Mathematics from IIU, Islamabad. She has publications in various international journals.
Ms. Zuriat Zahra
Ms. Zuriat holds an M. Phil. degree in mathematics from the University of the Punjab. Her area of specialization is Applied Mathematics, particularly; General Relativity and Cosmology. She has an excellent academic record throughout, with a gold medal at the master level. She has more than 5 years teaching experience at different universities.
