About The Program
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is dedicated to continued innovation through its vibrant, dynamic environment and competitive research. The department offers a PhD program in Computer Engineering that covers a wide spectrum of fields, keeping pace with technological advancements. Its carefully designed PhD program aims to produce researchers in the areas of Computer Vision & Image Processing, Natural Language Processing, Computer Networks & Communication Systems, Digital Design, Embedded Systems, Cyber Security, and High-Performance Computing. To achieve this goal, the department boasts a team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, fostering strong connections with research and development organizations and industry partners. A PhD scholar can complete the program either full-time or part-time. Full-time students are expected to complete the program in 3-4 years, while part-time students may take 3-5 years.
These are a number of mature research groups in ECE department in the fields of Computer Vision, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Networks and Communication Systems, High Performance Computing, Digital Design and Embedded Systems. More than 80 PhDs have generated from these research groups.
Admission Requirements
- A minimum of 18 years of education with MS in any fields or equivalent
- Minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA (Semester System) or 60% Marks (Annual System)

Date of Commencement
The University intends to commence the program of Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Engineering from February-2025 (Spring-2025). There will be a Fall and a Spring semester in each year. The maximum duration to complete the program is 8 years.
