After the course the student shall: have basic knowledge about patterns and processes in biodiversity and human influences on the biodiversity, and an introduction in conservation biology. know the value of biodiversity know the threats to the biodiversity be able to update himself about the subjects have knowledge about the subject’s history, agenda and place in the community

CLO: 1. Understand and apply relevant scientific principles in the area of Conservation Biology [Learning level 2]
CLO: 2. Demonstrate the importance of conserving populations that have been subdivided due to habitat fragmentation. [Learning level 3]
CLO: 3. Assess/analyze the factors responsible for the loss of biodiversity: introduction of exotic species, pollution, overexploitation, and disease. [Learning level 4]
