Department of Bioinformatics and Biosciences Holds a Session on “International Biosafety and Biosecurity Related Opportunities for Young Scientists”

Genix Society at Department of Bioinformatics and Biosciences, organized seminar on June 10th, 2022. Dr. Wasim Sajjad, a Microbiologist and Dr. Afreenish Amir, chapter head of PBSA and a microbiologist, served the occasion as guest speakers. The speakers delivered a brief and an effective lecture on ‘International Biosafety and Biosecurity Related Opportunities for Young Scientists’ to enlighten the participants with the importance of Biosafety and biosecurity nationally and internationally while telling about some international organizations made for biosafety. Additionally, the speakers discussed abut Pakistan Biological Safety Association (PBSA), its agenda, future planning and past achievements. The session, lasted for an hour, followed by scholastic discussion from participants’ end in questions/answers mode.
