COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is a part of engineering foundation. It is targeted to help student visualize the basics of engineering design. You will learn how to analyze complicated tasks by reducing them to their individual components; generating design concepts to fulfill these complex tasks; communicating your ideas and concepts through engineering drawings and written reports. You will also be developing team working skills because in today’s world there are very few tasks that can be handled by lone individuals and most of our graduates will have to work in environments that require working as members of teams.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLO)

CLO: 1.Recognize engineering drawing tools and use the drawing principles for adequate representation of engineering drawing models (Level: C2)
CLO: 2.Produce 2-D engineering drawing sketches on paper charts using the given drawing models and read 2-D engineering plans and electrical drawings. (Level: P3).
CLO: 3.Apply the engineering drawing principles to draw 2-D and 3D sketches using AutoCAD drawing and editing tools (Level: C3)
