This course provides an overview of macroeconomics: the measurement and determination of output, employment, interest rates and inflation. It gives details of financial and monetary systems. It covers basic concepts of International economics such as purchasing power parity and determination of equilibrium exchange rate. It sheds light on the causes of business cycles. It illustrates the affect of monetary and fiscal policies on internal and external deficits, inflation, unemployment and economic growth.
