Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Group

Dr. Mujtaba Hassan Agha is Associate Professor at Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST). Dr. Agha is a Registered Professional Engineer with Pakistan Engineering Council and has more than seventeen years of professional and teaching experience. He is one of few Pakistanis who is Certified Supply Chain Professional with APICS (Association for Supply Chain Managers) USA.

Since joining Academia he has done consulting, training and research work for several leading local and multinational organizations. His areas of interest are Production and Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Knowledge Management and Process Improvement.

The Industrial Systems Engineering Research (ISER) group supports students in their research work in the field of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. The group has active research collaborations with international universities. This culminates in not only journal and conference research publications but also frequent exchange programs in which researchers travel to conduct research at collaborating universities in Europe. In this regard, research group of Production and Logistics Systems (University of Bremen, Germany) held a lecture series on “Complex Logistics Networks” in 2017 at CUST. Recently, in August 2018, ISER group conducted a four-day workshop on “Modelling Techniques for Production and Supply Chain” in which participants came from both academia and industry to gain perspective on contemporary research and modeling issues.
