Mr. Fida Hussain
Mr. Fida Hussain joined Cust as Director QEC in March, 2021. He brings along a vast experience of education sector spanning over a period of around three decades. He is an educationist, with more than 15 years of experience working at Higher Education Commission in various capacities. He retired from HEC as adviser. Earlier, he served as Director General of various divisions at HEC, including Quality Assurance Agency, Quality Assurance Division, Learning and Innovation Division, Accreditation and Sports. His depth of experience and knowledge will help CUST further Improve its quality.
Mr. Danish Hafeez – Manager
Mr. Danish Hafeez joined the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) as Manager, QEC, on July 2, 2025. He brings over a decade of multifaceted experience in higher education, administration, human resource management, and entrepreneurship development. Prior to joining CUST, he held key administrative positions at various academic institutions of the country and actively contributed to the operational activities of QEC. His extensive exposure to academia, along with his strong foundation in quality assurance, enables him to effectively support and enhance quality assurance initiatives at CUST.
Mr. Muhammad Tashfeen – Assistant Manager
Mr. Muhammad Tashfeen holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is currently enrolled in the MS Engineering Management program at Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. He joined CUST on 10th Mar, 2025 and was appointed as academic officer in the English department. After working for 3 years in the English department, he is appointed to the QEC office as Assistant Manager. His job roles include Annual Report (QEC), Newsletter, helping in preparing the RIPE & PREE documents.
Ms. Areej Ashfaq – Research Associate
Ms. Areej Ashfaq holds an MS in Biosciences from the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). During her academic journey, she holds dean of honor award multiple times. She joined CUST on November 25, 2024, as a Research Associate at the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). With two years of professional experience in the education sector, she is a dedicated educator and researcher, passionate about driving institutional excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Her responsibilities at QEC include implementing the PSG-23 CUST Quality Policy, contributing to International University Rankings such as QS, and executing PSG-23 PREE through Program Self-Assessment Reports (SARs). She is actively involved in organizing Assessment Team meetings for SAR evaluations, preparing Executive Summaries for PREE SARs, QEC Newsletter and Coordinating (PDC) workshops for faculty and staff.
