Symposium: How AI is Revolutionizing Teaching and Education

Professional Development Team, Department of English, organized a symposium on the uses of artificial intelligence under the theme ‘How AI is Revolutionizing Teaching and Education’ on May 20, 2024. The symposium trained the faculty and the students to expose and equip them with diverse perspectives of artificial intelligence in general and its usage in academia in particular. It also helped the audience to make themselves familiar with different tools and ethical concepts associated with teaching and research skills which are crucial in academic and professional settings. The speakers included Dr. Huma Batool (AU, Islamabad), Dr. Sadia Irshad (AU, Islamabad), and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Umar Farooq (CUST). The speakers insisted that modern technology and its usage in language learning and teaching are inseparable. The talk was followed by a question-answer session. The session helped the faculty and students both academically and professionally to broaden their horizon, and to enhance their learning and teaching skills.
