Department of English has Established Academic Writing Center

English language learning has become compulsory in Pakistani context, but it has been observed, more often than not, that the students are not proficient in writing. Throughout their educational journey they have been taught the subject and not the language, which has resulted in a whole generation of students who are unable to think in the target language, i.e., English, or use it in writing. Since the universities and HEC have joined hands to bring about a positive change in the students’ learning and overall growth, the Department of English has set up a small Academic Writing Center, to help the students in their growth. Now it would be possible for a teacher and a student to have a one-on-one session, where the work produced by the student would be checked on the spot by the instructor to garner maximum results.
