Capital University Arranged Hands-On Workshop on “WordPress”

WordPress is a powerful yet free content management system (CMS) platform that offers an extensive range of features for creating impressive business websites, and has now emerged as a reliable web development solution for professional websites and E-Commerce stores. WordPress powers nearly one-third of the world’s websites and its unique features make it the most popular content management system for small personal blogs to the complex sites of major corporations such as Sony, Time Inc., The New York Post, NBC etc.
Considering the significance of WordPress in context of web development, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) in collaboration with Tech Flickers (First SECP Registered Incubation company of CUST) organized Four Days Hands-on Workshop on “WordPress” from 28th March to 2nd April, 2022. The workshop was aimed to equip students with application-based knowledge of WordPress with practical illustrations.
The key topics encompassed in the workshop included; WordPress Configuration Basics, Responsive Business/Blog Website, Live Websites, SEO Plugins Elementor, WpBakery, Speed Optimization Plugins, Divi Page Builder, Theme & Plugin usage etc. The workshop included students from CS, SE, EE and MS departments. A total of seventeen (17) students successfully completed the workshop.
