Faculty of Computing Held 2022 International Conference on Computing Research
The Departments of Computer Science and Software Engineering jointly organized “International Conference on Computing Research (ICCoR 2022)” on December 17, 2022. The main objectives of the conference were to provide a platform to the researchers to present and discuss their research ideas in-making or in-incubation stage and to facilitate industry-academia linkages. The conference was attended by approximately 100 participants. The Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker of the opening session was Professor Dr. Saad Naeem Zafar, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University. Dr. Saad delivered his keynote speech on the role of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. The second keynote address was given by Professor Dr. Irfan Awan of University of Bradford, UK. The title of his talk was “Security of Smart Environment: A Brewing Storm”. The tutorial session was conducted by Mr. Farrukh Mahmood, CEO of 11 Values, on the topic “Cyber Attacks are a New Normal”.
The closing session of the conference was chaired by Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir, Dean Faculty of Computing. In his closing address, Dr. M. Abdul Qadir thanked all the participants, invited guests and conference organizers. At the end of session, Dr. M. Abdul Qadir distributed participation certificates among the conference participants, the best and runner-up paper awards, and presented conference souvenirs to the session chairs.
