Seminar on Stress Management
Department of Management & Social Sciences organized a seminar on Stress Management under the supervision of Ms. Rabia Habib. The guest Speaker, Ms. Sobia Khateeb, Director/Clinical Psychologist at Sobia Khateeb Foundation a renowned psychologist and motivational speaker in Islamabad. The Guest speaker explained the fact that depression, anxiety, stress, poor body image, grief, loss or a major change in our life, can all affect our mental and emotional health. Sometimes, it is hard to know if what we are experiencing is depression or sadness, worry or anxiety.
Ms. Sobia further discussed with the audience that we all need little stress to motivate us to get things done. However, too much stress, particularly over a long period of time, can take its toll on our health and sense of wellbeing. The main purpose of seminar was to make students realize how important it is, to take care of their emotional health. If the emotional health is out of balance, a person may experience high blood pressure, ulcers, chest pain, or a host of other physical symptoms. The seminar provided students with an opportunity to look into their own strengths and use them to excel in life. At the end, souvenir was presented to Ms. Sobia Khateeb.
