One day workshop on LaTex

Upon profound desire of Dean Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, Prof. Aamer Iqbal Bhatti, One-Day Workshop on Latex was organized by ORIC on Wednesday, 21st October 2020 in Instructions Lab-III at 2 PM. The purpose of the workshop was to equip students and faculty members with contemporary knowledge about creation of technical documents using Latex with practical illustrations.

Latex is a Typesetting system suitable for producing scientific and mathematical documents which enable authors to typeset and print their work at the highest typographical quality. It is most often used for medium-to-large technical or scientific documents and can be used for almost any form of publishing. The workshop was specific to the MS and PhD thesis write-up using Latex.

A total of 20 students and faculty members attended the training which lasted till 5 PM. The workshop resource person was Mr. Umair Rafique Research Associate, EE Department, CUST. The session ended on a high note and proved to be a great source of knowledge and acquaintance to the participants. The Resource Person and faculty members were graciously thanked by Assistant director ORIC at the end of with the commitment to continue such type of training on consistent basis.
