Orientation Session by PMI, Islamabad Chapter at Capital University

The Department of Management Sciences at Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) has conducted an orientation session about Project Management International Certifications with the collaboration of Project Management Institute (PMI), Islamabad Pakistan Chapter.

The President PMI, Islamabad Pakistan Chapter, Mr. Tashfeen Riaz – PgMP, PMP, PMI-ACP, LIMC conducted this session and enlightened the scholars and faculty members about the benefits, value addition and international recognition of Project Management certifications in addition to the Project Management Degree Program.

In future, the trainings related to Project Management which may include (CAPM) Certified Associate in Project Management, (PMP) Project Management Professional and (PMI-ACP) PMI Agile Certified Practitioner will be offered at CUST campus in collaboration with PMI, IPC. Whereas exemptions from PMI will be offered to scholars enrolled in Project Management Degree Program at CUST.

The session also incorporated the local and international market’s job condition and how one can achieve from these certifications to make him/herself different and recognizable in industry as compare to others with same educational background.

CUST is offering the project management degree program to train professionals in the field of project management since 2014. Now collaboration with the PMI will help to offer the international standard trainings and certifications for own scholars and corporate sector at the University Campus.
