Seminar on “Change Your Mind, Change Your Life”

Department of Civil Engineering organized a seminar “Change Your Mind, Change Your Life” under the supervision of Engr. Faiza Khalid & Engr. Ali Ejaz. The guest Speaker, Mr. Tehseen Wahid, is a Civil Engineering professional and an entreprenuer with a vast range of experience. Tehseen is co-founder of institute “Shaping Future” which focuses on training three dimensions of society, Students, Teachers and workforce.

This event was arranged after collecting an anonymus feedback of students regarding various emotional and academic challenges they are facing. Root problems discovered were low GPA and future uncertainity. Data set was then shared with the resource person to shape the event proceedings.

The key aspect, analyzed by the guest speaker was students should not pressurize themselves to a point of breaking but nontheless the should prepare themselves for the trials in professional life by improving their skill set. Speaker emphasized on students that failures are what really make you. The seminar provided students with an opportunity to look at the life of a successful man in the light of failures he faced and oppurtunities he had because of those failures. The speaker focused that each human being has something special and this is what makes us unique. At the end, souvenir was presented to Mr. Tehseen Wahid by Dr. Ishtiaq Hassan.
