Department of Psychology Holds Faculty Development Program
The Department of Psychology has hosted an introductory session on Objective Based Education system (OBE) for its faculty members as part of series of workshop on OBE. The session was organized by Mr. Nosherwaan, Manager, Department of Psychology. The aim of OBE training was to enhance teaching quality in accordance with student needs. OBE focuses on what the students have learned. Therefore, unlike traditional grading system, OBE education system provides expanded opportunities for students by following a student-centered learning approach. It has a clear goal to impact their lives; positively committing to excellence & innovation. Under OBE system, the department intends to design curriculum in such a way that the output to be achieved by the end of the session is decided in the beginning. The session helped faculty to understand OBE and prepare for the required input that may include various innovative activities for enabling students to reach the desired target and master skills in a particular subject.
