Dr. M Abdul Qadir
Dr. Qadir’s professional journey spanned over a quarter-century in two overlapping domains of academia and industry. Serving as a Computer Science Professor and Dean Faculty of Computing since 2005, he has excelled as an educator, moulding future AI and algorithm experts through a unique blend of academic rigor and practical training. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Qadir is a dedicated mentor, actively supporting students in their academic and professional journeys, fostering collaboration and empowerment. As a founding Dean at MAJU and CUST, Dr. Qadir’s strategic leadership has birthed successful programs and faculties, including Engineering, Health & Life Sciences, and Pharmacy. Under his guidance, over 8000 graduates have been produced and are contributing significantly to society. Dr. Qadir’s influence extends to research, supervising over 10 scholars in completing PhD degrees and numerous MS theses in the field of intelligent computing systems. With a prolific output of 150+ research papers, he has also led successful industrial projects, securing substantial funding. Dr. Qadir’s impact spans across education, research, and industry, making him a transformative force in the convergence of academia and industry.

Dr. M. Masroor Ahmed received his doctorate in computer science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2009 and joined academia as a faculty member. He is currently serving as Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Science, and Director IT at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad. Over the years, he has made substantial contributions to research and academic development across institutions in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. His research focuses on medical image processing, biometric systems, pattern recognition, and computational optimization. He has authored more than 25 research papers published in reputable international journals and conferences. Dr. Ahmed has also played a pivotal role in guiding research at the postgraduate level, co-supervising PhD and MS students in areas such as digital image watermarking, 3D modeling, and quantum cryptography. He has actively contributed to several industrial and academic research projects and continues to serve as a reviewer for leading scientific journals. He is a member of professional bodies including the International Association of Engineers (IAEng) and the Swedish Artificial Intelligence Society (SAIS). Through his academic leadership, research expertise, and administrative roles, Dr. Ahmed continues to play a vital role in advancing the university’s mission in academic excellence and technological innovation.

Dr. Nayyer Masood completed his PhD degree in Multidatabases from the University of Bradford, U.K., in 1999. Prior to that he did his MSc Computer Science from Qauid-i-Azam University, Islamabad in 1988 and joined BZU Multan as lecturer. Since then, he has been serving in different universities and for last 17 years he has been serving at CUST; for most part of this tenure, he has been working as head of CS department. Dr. Nayyer Masood research interests are in Databases and Data Science. He has supervised numerous MS and PhD research projects. He authored 30+ research papers and his ISI research impact factor is 30+. He is a professional member of ACM, moreover, he is also member of core committee of computing council of HEC. He is currently coordinating his second EU-funded project titled SAFE-RH (www.safe-rh.eu) that targets to provide remote health services to the rural areas of Pakistan. Dr. Nayyer Masood has also recorded 3 courses with Virtual University of Pakistan.

Dr. Siraj has blend of experience both from academia and IT industry. He completed his Master of Computer Science in 2001 from University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi. Then he started his professional career and served as a software engineer at Pakistan International Computer Limited (PICL). He contributed in various software development projects at PICL. Meanwhile he also enrolled in MS Computer Engineering program at Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE, UET Taxila) and completed degree in 2005. After that, Dr. Rathore started his academic career as a faculty member at UET Taxila. Later he joined KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden as a PhD student. At KTH, he worked at networked systems laboratory and actively participated in international ICT research projects. He also served as a consultant at Ericsson Stockholm. He came back to Pakistan in 2019 and joined Barani Institute of Information Technology Rawalpindi as an Assistant Professor. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor at Capital University of Science and Technology. He is the member of Advanced Network and Security research group and published several research articles in the prestigious international journals and conferences.

Dr. Syed Saqib Raza Rizvi completed his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the National College of Business Administration Economics, Lahore Pakistan, in 2020 in the field of Machine Learning. He joined academia in 2012 where he worked in different positions including Lecturer and Assistant Professor and Head of Department in well-reputed institutes of the country. He also provides consultancy to different institutes and research students locally and abroad. He has more than 12 years of experience in the field of higher education and the IT industry. Dr. Syed Saqib Raza’s research interests are in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision etc. He has supervised numerous MS and currently co supervising one Ph.D. research thesis. He authored eight ISI-indexed and impact factor research papers and four conference publication.

Dr. Muhammad Sagheer
In his professional career, he envisions himself undertaking three major roles: a teacher, a researcher, and a coordinator. He recognizes the crucial significance of these responsibilities for the uplift of any academic institution. When asked to prioritize, teaching emerges as his first choice, considering it a natural strength ingrained within him. His journey in sharing knowledge began during his studentship, and the appreciation from others motivated him to excel in this noble profession. With a focus on Mathematics, he has taught various levels, ranging from class six to PhD. A university professor is incomplete without active involvement in research and related activities. Under his supervision, nine PhD scholars and fifty-seven MPhil students have successfully completed their degrees. His PhD project involved the mathematical and numerical analysis of an integral equation addressing a population dynamics problem within the broader area of genetics theory. Currently, he is engaged in the numerical solution of boundary value problems arising in fluid dynamics. In 2012, he assumed the role of the Head of the Mathematics Department, contributing to its establishment and growth.

Dr. Abdul Rehman Kashif completed his Ph.D. degree in the symmetries of spacetimes in General Relativity from the Quad-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in 2004. He has worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. He has vast teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate teaching in Mathematics. He has also represented Pakistan in many advanced countries to present his research work in academia. He is an HEC-approved supervisor and currently supervising MS and Ph.D. students. He is an active researcher in the field of Newtonian and Einstein Gravities. Currently, he is working on the N-Body Problem and restricted 5 or 6 body problems in Newtonian Mechanics and Gravitational Waves and Blackholes in Einstein’s Gravity.

He has a PostDoc in CFD at Institute of Energy Process and Engineering at RUB, Germany. He has attended and presented his research work at many international workshops, colloquium and conferences at different institutes of high prestige including summer school (CISM) on “Plasticity, computational inelasticity, phase transitions, and beyond” in Italy. He has more than ten (10) years of university teaching and research experience. He has published a large number high impact factor research articles in international journals of high repute. He is HEC approved PhD supervisor. He has produced a number of MS and PhD students in Finite Element Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Computational Mechanics and FSI. He has also won different funded research projects from HEC and involved in international research collaboration. His research interests include: Computational Mechanics of Solids, Extended Continuum Field Theories, non-Classical Continuum Theories, Eringen Field Theories, Mechanics of Fluid-Solid Interactions, Finite Element Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Modeling and Simulations, Coding with FreeFEM++ and FEniCS, Data driven solution for PDES, Neural PDEs and Machine Learning Algorithms.

Dr. Dur-e-Shehwar Sagheer joined academia in 2003. Meanwhile, she completed her M. Phil from the University of Sussex, UK, and her Ph.D. from the Capital University of Science and Technology. She has twenty years of teaching experience. She can stay organized and meet essential deadlines while teaching a whole load of classes each semester. She is a Patron of the CUST Girls Club and is actively involved in arranging different activities for female students. She is a committed, knowledgeable, and capable Research Fellow. She has supervised more than twenty M.Phil. students and one Ph.D. Students. She has produced more than twenty international journal publications.

Dr. Samina Rashid completed her PhD in Mathematics from the Capital University of Science and Technology in 2016. Before that, she earned her MPhil from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2001. She worked as a research associate at the University of Passau, Germany, for two years in the chair of symbolic computations. She also has three years of experience working with NESCOM as a manager. Her research areas include Functional Analysis, especially Fixed-Point Theory, as well as Cryptography, Cryptanalysis, Fractional Calculus, and Gr¨obner Basis and Border Basis Computations. She is an HEC-approved supervisor and is currently supervising two PhD students and three MPhil students. Eleven students have completed their MPhil degrees under her supervision. Dr. Samina is an active researcher and has published valuable work in reputed journals over the past years in collaboration with national and international researchers. She has more than twenty years of teaching experience at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Additionally, she is a member of multiple university bodies and is known for being a very welcoming and energetic team member.

Dr. Kamran applies his mathematical expertise to address real-world challenges. His focus on renewable energy problems, particularly heat transfer enhancement in solar collectors, demonstrates a practical approach to benefiting the general community indirectly. By tackling issues related to sustainable energy, he contributes to solutions that have far-reaching implications for environmental and economic well-being. Dr. Kamran is actively involved in a project submitted to an international organization, dealing with numerical aspects of biological disease problems using numerical techniques. This underscores his commitment to leveraging mathematical skills for addressing global health challenges, showcasing the societal impact of his research.

He is a certified by Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as Shari’ah Advisor (SECP) and deals in Zakat matters and non-business base modes of Islamic Microfinance. He provides Shari’ah consultancy to different charity based organization and honorary consultant of BankWaqf International Malaysia. Prof. Khan has vast experience of academic corridor under his belt by being the faculty member of International Islamic University Islamabad, Mohammad Ali Jinnah University Karachi and Capital University of Science and Technology Islamabad Prof. Khan passed “Moulvi Fazal” exam from Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore as regular student of Ulma Academy Mansoorah, then he passed the exam of highest prestigious degree of Madrasa education “Shadat-ul-Aalmiyah” from Wafaq-ul-Madris. He completed his B.A Honors degree in Islamic Studies (Usul-ud-din) from International Islamic University Islamabad and MS with Specialization in Islamic Finance from Riphah International University, Islamabad. He also served as Shari’ah Advisor of Islamic Micro Finance Resource Centre (IMRC) Islamabad and in different prestige institutions. He is the author the first book on Islamic Microfinance in Urdu language, by the title of “An Introduction to Islamic Microfinance” published by IMRC Islamabad.

Dr. Aamer Nadeem is a Professor of Software Engineering at the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST). He is head of the Center for Software Dependability (CSD) – a research group at CUST, working in diverse areas within the domain of software reliability and dependability. Dr. Nadeem received his MSc degree in computer science from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), MS in software engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), and PhD in computer science from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU). During his PhD, he worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) under a research collaboration. He has over 35 years of teaching, research and industry experience in computer science and software engineering. He has supervised 50+ Masters and five PhD research theses in the areas of software testing, fault tolerance and formal methods. He has authored or co-authored 115 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences.
