PhD from University of Paris-Sud, France in 2000; numerous publications and co-author of an RFC in IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) about mobile ad hoc networks; 25 years of teaching experience at Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. level and also supervised many MS and Ph.D students in their research in network routing protocols, wireless / mobile networking, IoT and network security; 20 years of management experience as Dean ELIC, Dean QEC, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Head / Chairman of department, etc.; 18 years of experience as Project Director of many national and international funded projects; Founding President and CEO of CoreNet Systems Ltd, working in the domain of emerging network technologies; Actively involved with Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), also served as the NomCom Co-chair; Actively involved with IEEE Islamabad Section since 2005 and served as Chair IEEE Computer Society Islamabad Chapter, Chair IEEE Islamabad Section; Chair Board of Directors of Internet Society (ISOC) Islamabad Chapter; Awarded the medal of “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques” by the Government of France for his academic and collaboration activities.
