PROFILE SUMMARY

I did my Masters in Applied Microbiology from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in 2014. With my Keen interest and passionate nature, I continued to work in the domain of Microbiology and have experience of more then five years in both Research and Academia. My research Interests include Characterization of Probiotics, Biochemical and molecular characterization of pathogenic microorganisms, Antibiotic resistance Profiling, Application of micro-organisms for sustainable agricultural practices and Optimization of growth conditions for the cultivation of Oyster mushrooms.

1. Molecular Characterization of emerging and re-emerging food-borne bacterial pathogens including Salmonella enterica, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Campylobacter jejuni and Listeria monocytogenes.
2. Evaluation of Control strategies for meat-borne pathogens.
3. Isolation and Characterization of Antibiotic Resistant Lactobacilli from Fermented Food Products.
4. Use of Biocontrol agents for the control of wilting caused by Fusarium oxysporum.
5. Assessment of Indigenous bacterial species for Bioremediation Potential of Heavy Metals from landfill and dumping sites of Islamabad.
6. Optimization of growth conditions for enhancing the production of Oyster mushrooms and promoting Bioenterpreneurship.
