PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Muhammad Kamran is an Assistant Professor in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program, holding a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from COMSATS University Islamabad. His doctoral research, funded by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, focused on the development of injectable hydrogels and monoclonal antibodies against multidrug-resistant Candida auris. He gained international research experience as a Post Graduate Trainee at the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom, working on monoclonal antibody development using phage display technology. His research interests span antimicrobial resistance, medical mycology, drug delivery systems, and molecular diagnostics. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in international journals and contributed chapters to books published by leading academic publishers, including Springer Nature. Alongside his research activities, Dr. Kamran is actively engaged in teaching, curriculum development, and the mentoring of undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has supervised MS/MPhil and PhD research projects, delivered workshops on scientific writing and research methodology, and served as a session chair and guest speaker at academic events.
