PROFILE SUMMARY

Experienced academician with knowledge in Food Engineering and Biotechnology, Nutrition, Bioavailability Gene knock down, and Cell lines. HoD at UMT. Estabilished the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Launched PhD, MS, and BS HN&D program. Skilled in managing research groups and formulating small teams to identify ways to achieve academic and research excellence. Public Endeavors .Designed and developed new courses as well as undergraduate and graduate degree programs, ranging from Biotechnology, Food Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Food Safety and Quality Management, get them approved from BoS, BoF, BASAR, Academic council and got NOC from HEC. Prepared council documentation of HEC NAEAC, achieved X category. My teaching assignments includes the courses of Biotechnology, Food Science and Technology and Human Nutrition & Dietetics domains. PI of NRPU project entitled “Isolation and Identification of therapeutic agents involved in the activation of PPAR- ? To ameliorate Type 2 Diabetes”, total cost of Rs. 6626300/-. Two DICE projects related to food valorization and therapeutic soup aimed to ameliorate the COVID-19 patients presented at DICE forum. Authoring more than 24 research papers, impact factor of more than 60. Supervised more than 15 MS thesis that investigated health and nutrition aspects of the society.
