PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Mahboob Alam is a Professor and HoD Pharmacognosy Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Capital University of Science & Technology Islamabad, Pakistan. He is an expert in Pharmacognosy. His research interests include Phytopharmaceuticals, drug discovery, anti-cancer agents, Nutraceuticals, Pharmacogenetic Studies, Biological and Chemical Studies on natural substances, Isolation of natural products including alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics and coumarins. He has published several papers in reputed journals and presented his findings at various national and international conferences. Dr. Alam obtained his PhD in Pharmacy from University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2013. He has over 15 years of teaching experience in different universities of Pakistan. Dr. Alam is not only an accomplished academic, but also a talented athlete. He is a national player of volleyball and has won four gold medals at university and in national games. He is passionate about sports and enjoys playing and coaching volleyball in his spare time. Dr. Alam is a dedicated and enthusiastic professional who strives to excel in his field and contribute to the advancement of science and society. He is always eager to learn new skills and collaborate with other researchers and practitioners. He is also a friendly and approachable person who values diversity and respect.
