Dr. Muazzam G. Sohail

Associate Professor
PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. Muazzam Ghous has a Ph.D. in the field of Corrosion of Steel in Concrete from University of Paul Sabatier/University of Toulouse-III, France. He has master’s degree in Materials and Structures from one of the top engineering schools of France, the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA Toulouse), France. His bachelor degree is in Civil Engineering from UET, Lahore. His research areas are ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), bio-self-healing concrete, corrosion of steel in concrete, engineered cementitious composites (ECC), and strengthening and rehabilitation of concrete structures. He has published 21 articles, all in impact factor journals. His accumulative impact factor is 110. Has written and secured several grants from different funding agency such as Qatar national Research Funds (QNRF) and Qatar University. He is HEC approved supervisor and currently has two PhD and seven MS students working with him. He also has ample teaching experience in Pakistan as well as in France. He teaches like Structural Analysis, Engineering Mechanics, Design of Concrete Structures, Steel Structures, Durability of Concrete Structures and Prestressed Concrete at graduate and undergrade levels, he also has taught Advanced Project Management. He loves traveling and watching sitcoms and historical series. He speaks fluent French and can understand written Arabic.
