PROFILE SUMMARY

With a diverse experience of more eighteen (18) years, currently working as “Associate Professor” in Department of Civil Engineering, Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad. Estimation and Quantity Surveying, Construction Contracts, Construction and Project Management, Construction Safety Management, Sustainable Developments, Hazard and Disaster Management, Project Planning and Control remain the main areas of teaching. Besides my teaching and administration roles, I am also an active researcher with works published in well reputed journals and conferences including achievement of certain competition awards. I was founding member / current Director for BIM Centre of Excellence at CUST and certified Building Information Modeling (BIM) professional. During PhD, I was part of research program sponsored by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia to develop a “SMART INTEGRATED LOW CARBON INFRASTRUCTURE MODEL” for sustainable development using BIM under “Sustainable Resources Mission Oriented Research (SUREMOR)”. Before joining UTP in Feb. 2013, I worked in National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NESPAK) at the position of “Resident / Senior Engineer”. Key responsibilities included Contract Operation/Management (FIDIC), Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management , Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Control, Contractual coordination, Claim Management, Dispute Resolution, Evaluation of Notices regarding Termination and Suspension of works, , Developing and Auditing Quality Control Plans, Chair Progress Review Meetings, Approval of IPCs, Verification and recommendation of Deviated Items, Variation orders, IPCs, Escalation claims etc.
